I am building a university students' community-site, and as concerning the subjects' part I have the following situation:
I already have a folder hierarchy under sites/default/files such as:

root: 6 Departure folders
depth-1: 10 semester folders ---- (same for every departure folder)
depth-2: 1 - 6 subject folders ---- (different for every semester folder)
depth-3: 5 material folders(categories) ---- (same for every subject folder)

I would like to improve the current ODF Import module i.e. http://drupal.org/project/odfimport . Currently, this module supports only ODT import into drupal nodes. I would like to add ODP and ODS import functionality to this module.

The documentation for Aegir explains how to tar an existing site on a server other than the Aegir server, grab the database, and move all of this to the Aegir server. My situation is different. I have installed Aegir on a server that has existing running sites. Are the instructions the same, except I do not need to move the database? Must I move or copy the existing sites from /var/www/html to /var/aegir ? The documentation is not clear about where the tarred drupal site should be untarred to import into Aegir.

I need some help.

I need to export and then import a type that I have developed on my local machine. I installed the import export module, but it seems that it is broken, giving me an:

warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()

What do I need to do to be able to export and import the types?

I am getting this error if I attempt to export.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function content_copy_groups()

How should I do this?

Hello to you all,

seems I am stucked in a loop-error and I cannot figure where's the catch.

I have successfully installed Aegir 0.4 alpha6 on a centos test server.
Immediatly after importing itself into the system, the site is not working, except the front-page.
Apparently, the errors are related to clean-urls.
For instance, I can access the page if manually build the URL as based on index.php?q=node/68, but cannot access it as /node/68

Any help is highly apreciated.

Hi,

I've got myself a basic import API that I'd like to share if anyone is interested.

It can import nodes, users, taxonomy terms or anything you care to. The core module itself doesn't do anything except read a CSV file and delegate to other modules for merging and saving data.

This module assumes you can get your content into CSV and upload it to the server somewhere and is only suitable for developers at this stage.

Is there a Programmatic way to import an exported panel? I have created some panels and I want to load them, on mass, into a new site. Assuming the content types , views etc are all identical - can this be done? I cant seem to find anything related to this...

Har fått en xml-fil som ska generera ett bokningsforumlär, har aldrig arbetat med xml tidigare och är ju ny på drupal så vart börjar man? Använder drupal6. Har sökt lite och hittat något som heter Import / Export API och har installerat den (även om det är en betaversion). Hur gör man sen? Jag går in och väljer page och importera en xml-fil sen väljer jag vilken xml-fil den ska importera ifrån min mapp testdata. Efter det säger den att min fil är importerad och se resultat nedan....men det är bara en grå ruta.

I have been attempting to make a local version of a client's site for development. I was able to export a .gzip using phpmyadmin, but when I import it locally and compare to the live version, a lot of the tables are missing or are quite a bit smaller than the live version. A .zip export was only 4k so I assumed it was no good. The uncompressed database is around 117mb. I exported and downloaded it, and set the file size parameters in php.ini so that I don't get a "this database is too big" error.
