hi all,

I've been trying for some hours to get a multisite gallery, multisite drupal install working - i've successfully gotten a branch of a multisite gallery install to show up inside drupal properly, at least to the point of displaying image blocks etc - i'm running latest stable drupal and dev gallery- however, all the links within the gallery block and node point back to drupal root directory - perhaps my embed URI is off? i'm pretty familiar with both drupal and gallery having used them for years.

anybody know of a reason why this won't work at all? anybody been able to do it?

First, let me say that I'm absolutely sorry if the current post should not be posted here...

I'm about to use Gallery2. Previously I've created galleries using Viewfield, Image, NAT and Views modules. In fact my problem is that I need to add extrafields to galleries (means that a gallery must probably be a node). And i need screw FiveStars & Voting API on images.

So my question : is it possible with Gallery2 or Not ?

1)How my installation looks like:
httpdocs/drupal
httpdocs/gallery2_codebase (no installation here, no config.php)
httpdocs/user1_gallery
httpdocs/user2_gallery
httpdocs/user3_gallery
httpdocs/user4_gallery

2)What i have:
Synchronisation & integration between drupal & only ONE gallery at a time

3)What i want:

This one took me a while to resolve. I am sure not many users will fall into this trap. I hope this post makes life easier for those with the same setup and maybe lead to a little improvement in future. The post about necessary rows in the Gallery2 table handling authorization for Everybody gave me the clue, as I am neither expert with Drupal or Gallery2 intrinsics. I think we made a nice step forward with the release of 5.x-2.x in November 2007. However, there is still a lot of work to be done. I cant provide a schedule for gallery module, but I can give you an overview of things I plan to tackle in the next months.

BTW: There are still (almost) no people helping out with documentation and support. Dozens of sites are running G2 with Drupal, but it looks like nobody really feels connected to the spirit of the community enough to contribute :(

At the moment we are (at most) 1 1/2 people working on the gallery module and its affiliates. Thats not a problem per se (for example it allows us to make major changes and rapid progress without lengthy discussions), but there is little time left to answer all requests submitted to the issues queue. Also the G2 integration forums are almost unsupported because of our limited resources and we still dont have a basic documentation online in the G2 codex.

I just tagged an official release for the new 5.x-2.x series of gallery module after almost 7 months of development and testing.
