I know a lot of people are coming back from Drupalcon DC with some new Drupal knowledge to share and projects they want to jump on. So, it's time to gather and talk Drupal in Santa Cruz...

Our first meeting is going to be Monday, March 30th @7pm at Nextspace. Topic(s) to be announced.

If you are interested in speaking at the first or any upcoming SCDUG meeting, let us know. we'd love to have a few topics lined up for future meetings.

The (central) Florida Drupal Users Group has a meetup yesterday at MindComet in Altamonte Springs. About 10 people were present, including several new faces that attended DrupalCamp 2 weeks ago.

1. Comments/Lessons Learned from DrupalCamp - see Andrew's post for a summary of what we discussed.

2. We had a brief discussion about having remote speakers at future meetups as well as live streaming of future meetups. Nothing concrete was decided on, but everyone seemed interested in pursuing both ideas.

Please comment if you'd be interested in having a meet-up next month after Drupalcon DC.

Is a weekend day or weekday evening better?

Do you have something you'd like to present or something you want to learn?

I want to organise a Drupal Meetup in Cape Town, I would like to know if anyone is interested and where will be the most convinient place to meet, perhaps a Mugg & Bean as they have Wifi and are practically everywhere. So where would be the most convinient place? perhaps the V&A Waterfront M&B? please suggest some places :)

Now all we need is a date, we could meet sometime in march, perhaps an evening in the first week - maybe a friday - i dont know.

Presentaciones & Showcases

Como llegaron nuevos drupaleros, se hicieron algunas presentaciones de rigor.

What are the plans for this meeting? Are we just showing up with a random bucket of things to present? Are we going to try to nail down a particular topic for presentations?

I suggest we get the ones who want to present on February 17th to prepare now. So, we can get word out at least a week in advance with the topics of presentations. This will give time to persuade some of the possible showers to come out to check out a certain topic. I really do not want to have another meeting where we do not really know what is going to be presented, and it feels like we are just winging it.

@marvil07 hizo una presentación muy interesante acerca de lo que se desarrolla en la PUCP, principalmente en la DIA. Luego @ywarnier habló un poco de algunos sitios web desarrollados en Drupal para empresas. @cesars(César Soplín)aportó mucho en este campo a lo largo de la reunión.
