meetup

I was thinking that now that the summer is over and vacations have been done, that having a Swedish Drupal meet-up would be cool. We are three Drupal developers here in Borås so our first choice would be here. But we also have offices in Stockholm (3 developers there) and Gothenburg is only a short train ride away. So I have put it up for a vote. Show your interest by voting for the city that best suits you or the one you would travel to for a meeting.

Yahoo! Our first meet up was a resounding success!

• It was well-attended (16 participants from NGOs, government, schools, and private corps; plus 7 staff from Dig It All Solutions)
• Lots of interest and discussion about: configuring Drupal (for beginners); themes, cck/Views, taxonomy, module development (for advanced users)
• Thanks to Jeff, Val, kenneth (sofiya) and Lee for sharing their knowledge on Drupal, and also for Loloyd, Jon (jorap), and Mark Caballero who pitched in! Thanks to Data for giving away Drupal bag tags.

Do you have something you want to learn in an upcoming meetup, knowledge you would like to share, cool ideas, or suggestions? Post your thoughts here and we'll try to integrate them into the next meetup. I'll make sure to stay on top of this thread though it may get pushed down over the course of the month.

Here are the final details for the 1st Drupal meet up. If you can't make it, don't worry. The 2nd Drupal meet up is being planned na :)

WALKING:
From Megamall, walk towards Pearl Drive along Lourdes Avenue. Medical Plaza Ortigas is in front of the old Medical City (now demolished).

I am moving the peninsula meetup group here - I will email the group and shut down the account on meetup. This is a better forum anyway.

If anyone has thoughts on a venue let me know. There have been a couple thoughts (SFSU, Burlingame) but nothing has solidified yet. In the meantime I will go to the Berkeley meetups as I am able to.
