Read moreVendor of Record (VOR)??
I am trying to find Drupal developers in the Toronto area that hold Vendor of Record (VOR) status with the Ontario Public Service (OPS).
Please let me know if your company holds this status, or if you know someone who does.
Many thanks in advance,

Legal status for DrupalCamp organizing bodies
I realize 99% of you reading this are not lawyers, so with that in mind:
How have organizers of medium-to-large sized drupalcamps dealt with legal liability? In Toronto, one of our options is to incorporate as a non-profit. It's quite a bit of hassle, but it would allow us to accept checks from sponsors made out to DrupalCamp TO and could greatly reduce risk.
Any thoughts?

Hey everyone,
The question about a DrupalCamp Toronto 2010 was raised at our March 29th meeting, with lots of good discussion around the subject. Points raised include:

Drupal Meetup at University of Toronto
A first meetup for members of the University of Toronto Drupal community has been scheduled for February 25th, 2009, at 4pm (location TBA). U of T has made significant use of Drupal, but the community is distributed with little collaboration. This meetup is an initial attempt to fix that. We would love to have representation from DUG TO, as one of the discussion topics will be to start a U of T specific DUG or join up with DUG TO. All are welcome, but please sign up if you wish to attend.

Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about if and when there is a DrupalCon Toronto? I thought that it was to be held in august but heard it was canceled. Is there any hope to have one this year?
Thanks.

There is an Ontario Linux Fest on Saturday October 25, 2008 (that is two weeks from today).
Like last year, it has a Dot Org pavillion where open source projects can distribute literature and ask questions. Unlike last year, where Joomla had a presence there, and Drupal did not, we like to be present.
The day runs from 9:00 am to 6:30 am, so we need 2 or 3 volunteers who can answer basic questions on Drupal, and hand out some flyers.

Drupal Boston 2008 is taking place March 3 to March 6, with a code sprint on March 7 at MIT.
See details here http://boston2008.drupalcon.org/
As you can see from the budget below, the attendance fee does not cover all the costs. http://boston2008.drupalcon.org/drupalcon-budget
Therefore, any form of financial support is appreciated. If you are a Drupal user or a Drupal shop, please discuss this with your manager and find ways to spread around the word, so all the costs are covered.
