language switcher

Jag har brottats med ett problem som jag inte kommer tillrätta med och skulle behöva råd och tips för att kunna lösa. Vet inte om det är en bug, eller om det kan bero på annat eftersom jag testat olika varianter...
Det gäller en språkväxling med översättning, av länkarna inne i menyerna samt meny-rubriken, som inte fungerar om/när man är inloggad?
Däremot fungerar det som det ska när man är utloggad...?

I have a multilingual Drupal 6 site. In this I have enabled three languages i.e English, Spanish and Brazil.
Recently I have installed the "language switcher drop down" module.The module is just working fine except one problem that when I create a content in "Spanish" language then at the time of node view the "language switcher" drop-down showing all three languages instead of showing only Spanish option.It is also affecting the URL alias after selecting the language other than Spanish. Please help me on this if you have any idea.

Any type of help would be appreciable.

I'd like to change the language names in the language switcher. Currently, it says "Deutsch English" on my site.
I want it to be "De En".
I have been searching for a solution but couldn't find any except this: http://drupal.org/node/313814

Seems like overkill. Isn't there an easier less complex approach? Thanks.

Is there a way for redirecting to other language's front page, when language switcher is clicked and there is no translation for that content?

I've searched a lot, but found no solution.

I'm using D7 core & i18n module.

I'd like to have the language switcher block in core Drupal 7 hide the active language. (ie: If you're reading the English page, don't display a link to the English page.)

I've come across this solution for Drupal 6, which seems hefty for a seemingly trivial task (and doesn't work in D7):

I'm new to Drupal, and I am having difficulties knowing where to start.

It would be helpful to know how those developing bilingual sites are creating a language toggle as on standard gov't pages. If you're on the English page, you should see a link to the French page and vice-versa.

In Drupal 7 I'm using the core language switcher block of the locale module. However that displays a link to the current active language as well as to the translated language, and doesn't seem to be configurable. I'm not sure if I can override it somehow?

I'd like to make it possible to reach each language homepage when clicking on language links in the switcher block (which seems logical).

I've just installed and configured a site with three languages (english, french and spanish) and everything is ok with the switcher when I'm on the homepage (I can reach the three homepages directly through the switcher).

Then, if I want to reach one of the two other homepages when visiting another page than the homepage in one of the blocks, the current node id goes behind the language id.

Har testat göra en flerspråkig webbplats med 6.2. Generellt fungerade allt som det skulle med de tillagda språken jag använde men till min förvåning upptäckte jag att det inte gick att skifta hela gränssnittet till engelska från språkväljaren om standardspråket var något annat.
