Denemek isteyenlerin şu iki adımı uygulaması iyi olur;
- Sitenizde yüklü çeviri dizgelerini po dosyası biçiminde dışa aktarın
- Ekteki txt dosyasını indirin adını tr.po olarak değiştirin ve içe aktarın

Getting started

I've set up this group to try to get some help fixing the Notifications module which is important for Organic groups. The issue I hope to fix in this new group doesn't seem too complicated, but I don't have a lot of experience with the innards of Drupal so I'd find it hard to do on my own. So I'm hoping for a bit of help from others.

I have several years experience setting up quite complexmulti-lingual sites & using views a lot. I know some basic php (unfortunately I know asp better - the way things were at the time), but I've never got into Drupal module code at all seriously. The languages I use are English & Spanish.

The task

Notifications does support language. When the process is run from /admin/messaging/subscriptions/queue by using "Run process" then both the language that Notifications uses for the email texts & the language negotiation of the URLs is translated. So far so good.

However, the problem is that each individual message ignores the users language and applies in the language that /admin/messaging/subscriptions/queue is using.

So the question is to insert some code into the module at the point in the process where it works on the messages for each user so that everything it does at that point is in the user's language.

I'm going to start poking about in the code to see if I can make sense of it, but if anyone can give me an early indication of what I'm looking for that would be a great help.

import of fields from multi-lingual D6 site into D7 fails

I am cross-posting this from the CCK issue queue:
http://drupal.org/node/1063852

If using more than one language the story is the following:

  • the fields import via migrate content into D7 and display fine while viewing nodes
  • going to edit node and all the fields are blank, no values are shown here, like creating a new node
  • D7 field table rows have a column for language but instead of getting set to the proper language on import, the column is left as "und."

all interesting language modules together...

I have ordened the -to my opinion- most interesting candidates for further research here:
* http://wi-ca.org/Drupal_translation
* http://wi-ca.org/Drupal_multi_language

It's about selecting modules that possibly could serve most for a complex multi-language site. I've left out some modules in the pre-selection.
Yes, there should come a wiki for the translations group, but maybe in a different form than I did (as I for example already have left out some).
Then in that wiki some explanation why one should use this module for something and not the other one?

Language negotiation without path prefix

Is it possible to negotiate language (user preferences, browser settings) for every url without prefixing the path or domain? The site I'm building uses Drupal for Facebook, a.k.a. DFF, to integrate with Facebook. Facebook requires a single callback base URL from which all paths are built. DFF handles this with a url looking something like www.example.com/fb_cb/12345. Drupal's language handling breaks this by inserting the language prefix before DFF's callback, e.g.

Use multiple domain names in combination with multiple languages

Hello everyone!

I'm currently working on a site that uses multiple languages and for SEO purposes (and some other reasons) we want to use multiple domain names in combination with content translation

So we're talking about a SINGLE website and ONE database:

for an example www.dummydomain.com is supposed to point to the site in english
www.dummydomain.de points to the SAME site only in german
www.dummydomain.fr to the SAME site in french

Now I'm wondering what creative solutions you guys come up with to achieve this.

Lägga upp sajt på IIS webbhotell

Hej!

Problem with language switcher

I'd like to make it possible to reach each language homepage when clicking on language links in the switcher block (which seems logical).

I've just installed and configured a site with three languages (english, french and spanish) and everything is ok with the switcher when I'm on the homepage (I can reach the three homepages directly through the switcher).

Then, if I want to reach one of the two other homepages when visiting another page than the homepage in one of the blocks, the current node id goes behind the language id.
