For those of you who understand the German language:
I created a Drupal distribution for creating advanced (German language) homepages. The intention is to enable Drupal newbies to get their first website started more quickly.

I have had a lot of research about optimizing Apachesolr for non-english languages, especially for German. It comes out, that there search results can be dramatically improved by adjusting Solr's stemming and by breaking up compound words. This can be easily achieved with slight changes to Apachesolr's schema.xml.

I wrote some bigger module to provide sms sending and receiving with the german Service sms-creator.de. For sending messages I also implemented a gateway for sms.module, but mainly it's a standalone module - with different features:

• sending SMS,MMS,...
• instant receiving SMS via HTTP-request from SMSC (type 1)
• receiving SMS via calling form SMSC server (type 2)
• message logging
• Credit Management (time flatrates, credit points per message) for sending and receiving messages (type2)

Ich weiss nicht ob ihr kennt "Localization server" module: http://drupal.org/project/l10n_server Es ist eine sehr gute Idee und es hat mich überrascht zu sehen dass es noch keine Deutsche Version gibt (es gibt sogar Basq!)

Ich weiss, es ist ein bisschen komisch dass ein Ausländer der nich gut Deutsch sprechen kann, fragt für ein "Localization" server auf Deutsch zu machen... :D Aber ich denke, dass es sehr gut für alle sein könnte.

ich wollte fragen, bevor ich das übersetzten anfange, ob es erwünscht ist,
die Dokus von drupal.org (zB. Themeing Guide usw.) ins deutsche zu übersetzten.

Um diese dann auf einem unserer Projekte zu veröffentlichen.
So wies in etwa das Drupalcenter.de schon mit dem Handbuch gemacht hat?

Muss evtl. noch etwas beachtet werden?
