New SANDcamp dates are here! We had to move our dates because of a booking issue at Hall of Champions. But we are all set and have new dates. It is during NFL Wildcard dates but we do have wonderful TVs and a sports bar complete with beer so you can football and drupal...

1/7/11 from 2-5pm for volunteers to setup - Friday
1/8/11 9am-5pm - Saturday
1/9/11 9am-4pm - Sunday

For 2012, please reserve January 28/29 as Superbowl = February 5!

Thanks to HOC/BPOC for the Herculean effort to get us all set.

(No, I don't work for Metro .. IMHO this is just a good idea) -- I will be taking the trains instead of driving 130 miles roundtrip, hasseling traffic, navigating downtown LA, paying gas and parking, and generally dreading the trip ... I will hop on the MetroLink to Union Station, grab a Redline subway to the "7th & Metro" stop and walk (or take a DASH "Route F" shuttle) a few blocks to the Convention Center for a total cost of $15.50!! A round trip Metrolink ticket entitles you to ride the connecting Redline for free, and DASH is either free with the ticket or less than a buck.

With DrupalCampLA drawing (very) close and a fantastic showing of attendees (225 as I write this), we are finding ourselves in a bit of a budget crunch.

We agreed to the offer to host DrupalCampLA at the LA Convention Center on the conditions that costs would be kept low and we would have wireless internet access available to us. We also had to give up the ability to serve food as we did last year.

Oh yes, it's that time..

The first one was a blast so we're doing it again. BUT we'd love your input so that we can avoid conflicts for DrupalCampLA Weekend.

We are not open to doing this sooner - simply too many vacations, conferences, and various conflicts to make people happy. We want to enjoy summer too! Late September is left out because I'm becoming an aunt somewhere around there. Selfish? yeah. But it's about balance, right?
