Premise: Outside of DrupalCons and camps, g.d.o user group meetups happen to be fully qualified, regular events maybe worth dosing a bit more followup coverage.
In general, published meeting reviews are not just handy for their own attendees to have but also benefit everyone connected via the web. Where to post the coverage is up to each group; this post is only a thinking-out-loud prototype to offer background and then some specific details on a meetup that just took place.

This past Saturday's meetup was relocated to the nearby Panera Bread due to the Mindcomet offices being closed. Only two attendees made the trek - caelon@drupal.org/Don and myself. We spent about an hour generally hacking on our individual projects - Don was working on a site which had some permissions issues with his custom module, and I added a feature to the WP2Drupal module I'm maintaining. While a pitifully small turnout, it still at least meant that FLDrupal has made its past its first year anniversary and is now onto Year 2.0!

I did something like the thing you ask for a few months ago, when doing some hands-on web stuff with Swedish journalist students.
