A release candidate for Drupal 6 is now ready.

This marks the end of all new development for Quiz 6.x-2.0. Only bug fixing will happen on the release candidates and further releases.

Why two releases in one day? I thought the last bug might be difficult to find and fix. Turned out to be a two-line fix. Sorry for any inconvenience the rapid upgrades caused.

• If no bugs are filed against RC1... it will be re-released as Quiz 6.x-2.0.

With a few more bugs resolved and new Views 2 RC5 support, I have created the first beta release of Quiz 6.x-2.0.

The only bug keeping this from RC1 status is #298046. There is a chance that I might just defer this until 3.0, as it seems to be a non-standard use of quizzes to add comments to the quiz node. But I'll give it a shot first before putting it off.

We're proud to announce the first beta release of the Aegir hosting system for Drupal.

Ægir is a new set of contributed modules for Drupal that aims to solve the problem of managing a large number of Drupal sites. It does this by providing you with a simple Drupal based hosting front end for your entire network of sites. To deploy a new site you simply have to create a new Site node. To backup or upgrade sites, you simply manage your site nodes as you would any other node.

This release constitutes the feature complete state of our first release. It will allow you to install, back up, restore, enable, disable and delete your hosted sites. It also provides a very complete installation wizard to help you configure your server, and excellent support for importing sites you may already have running.

I've just published the 0.1-alpha2 release of hm2, which features extensive changes from the first alpha release 3 weeks ago.
We are now nearly feature complete for the 0.1 release, but there's still a fair amount of loose ends to clean up.

There has been some steady work to improve the SMS Framework module and I think it would be valuable to outline some thoughts on a 1.0 release. As far as new features the biggest ones will be the ability to receive messages and support for the Muse gateway. There will also be major improvements to user interface and scalability for the SMS User module.

The Services module for Drupal was created to provide a standardized way of supporting communication with external applications and Drupal. XML-RPC, JSON, AMFPHP and REST are just some examples of protocols that can be used as communication mediums. It's a great module which adds a lot of flexibility to Drupal, and it has just been ported to Drupal 6 with a Drupal 6 development branch.

Hey guys, Anders and I are planning to do an official 1.0 release of Advanced Poll pretty soon. This will be a high quality version of Advanced Poll that has all major features working and is relatively bug free. It will also serve as the base for our Drupal 6 port of advpoll, which we will start working on after the first D6 Release Candidate, so it needs to be solid.

If there is anything in particular you want to argue for, or unreported bugs you've found, now is the time to speak up.
