Sydney November Meetup - Holiday Bash!
Its that time of year again - where the screensaver goes on, and the party hats come out!
At the last meeting, it was decided that instead of having a separate holiday meeting we would have a party at our regularly scheduled November meeting. Details should be finalized today, but it will be at a pub near central and we will have some food and/or drinks sponsored as well. I will update this when I have confirmed the details, but please keep it in your calendar.

We had a great response to last month's support extravaganza. So based on everyone's positive feedback, we're going to mix it up again. This month we're going to have one of our regular presentations and then the rest of the time will be spent in knowledge clusters for support and coworking. Magda will be away, but has made arrangements to use our regular room, plus at least one of the computer labs with ~10 computers with internet access plus some computers with presentation capabilities.

* Then we'll break off into individual groups / pairs and work through people's issues.
Please bring your work on a USB stick or have it available on the internet to use the computers. Otherwise, a laptop with your local environment will be great but we will not be able to provide internet for non-ABC computers

Theme development
I'm posting this as a 'discussion' rather than as a 'job' as we are not at yet at that stage. My hope is that I could get some input on how best to proceed.
I manage the website for the City Bible Forum and I've created a Design Brief (attached) which I've sent to some graphic designers that we've worked with in the past. None of those who've responded have any experience with Drupal themes.

We are interested in holding a Drupal Coworking day at our space in Dee Why, Sydney.
The event is open to all Drupal users, developers and business/website owners.
The format is open for discussion.
However, could just be based around working in the same room together, swapping ideas, meeting other Drupal users, gaining some new contacts, having lunch together.

Thanks to everyone who attended our June meetup, it was great to see so many fresh faces. This is a reminder for everyone about this months meetup.
This month we will have more of a panel style approach, with multiple people show casing their work flow across different platforms. It should be the ultimate in discussing "tool tips"

Sydney June Social
After a successful social event last quarter, we're going to continue growing the tradition of relaxing with the Drop.
Its not your regular Drupal meetup! its a party, a break, a different schedule, a time to just relax.
To hopefully cater to people who can't make our regularly scheduled meetups on the 3rd thursday of each month (and to those who just can't get enough Drupal or beer) we will be having a social meetup on Monday, June 7th.
