Just wondering whether it is possible to develop a drupal site under the Mac OSX environment but later host it under a Linux/Window server? I know it's weird but finding a Mac OSX hosting service in Hong Kong is damn hard. Unless someone can advice me where I can find one here in Hong Kong.

Hi guys,

I was hoping that someone could give me some advice about my Web 2.0 website i am trying to build.

After looking at the options I thought Drupal would be the best thing to use, but the website i'm trying to build is pretty difficult, so I'd like some guidance on whether I should get outsider help or continue trying to build it using Drupal myself.

I'm guessing that I need some help but if someone (who knows Drupal) could help confirm this that would be fantastic, and get me going in the right direction again.

Karim had mentioned that it is possible to run Drupal from CVS to ease the task of upgrading. I'm wondering if someone knows of a good tutorial on how to do this or if someone could write one up.

Hey, any Views and Panels 2 guru around, got a couple of questions for them.

for views: I want to know how "argument" works, seems it's quite powerful, yet I couldn't find any relevant post in drupal.org

for panels 2:

1. I wonder if I could use it to layout every blog node, and blog node alone, I know I can use panels to do "override" of individual nodes, but I want a panels layout for all the "blog node type", as the content of the layout may change alot, I want to have this panels solution over the page-node-blog.tpl.php theming one.

I originally planned to build my restaurant site and a blog for my family on the same Drupal codebase, I thought it would've been easier to build all the different content types, views, user profiles fields... etc, all in one place. Then, I started to do some research on multisite, and there are some really good posts on how to install Drupal in one place, then 2 sites folders outside of the Drupal folder for added security...

Your answer could be in format of "Session" (Track) and you are free to recommend all 3 options in the same track if you wish.
