The University of Minnesota Drupal User Group works to share knowledge and resources, find solutions to shared challenges, and enable effective use of Drupal at University of Minnesota campuses across Minnesota. Staff, students, and faculty are all welcome here.
We will strive to be a bridge, not a silo, and encourage participation and sharing with others in our communities, be they geographical (Twin Cities at g.d.o) or professional (Higher Education).

This month, we will revisit the topic originally planned for last month: development environments. How do you set up your local (or remote) development environment? What are your go-to tools? How to you wire them together? IDEs, bundled "development stacks," distro-based tools? Come share what works for you (and what doesn't) and perhaps learn from others.

We have been amiss at not getting word out earlier, AND picking a new venue after 3 months at Sisyphus. No matter, Happy Hour MUST continue, so as creatures of habit, we STAY at Sisyphus for May.

Update
We've revised our topic for April to focus on setting up the University Drupal environment locally for development. Some people have hit snags in getting this environment working, so we will take the hour to run through the process, identify the problems we find, and revise documentation for later reference. We'll move the general "environments" topic to next month.
Hope to see you all there!

We are dealing with a new client right now, an agency that is working with a restaurant. The retaurant site has not been updated since 7.12! The agency is asking for some documentation to share with the client about the need for these updates.
I did a simple google search, and came up with no usable results! Maybe Drupal.org has some resources, but I have never seen anything like that there.
This would be a really valuable resource for everyone working with clients. I'm really surprised we as Drupal users are not sharing some of this.

stpaultim and I have been working on an ongoing support project that has been a little tricky. The client wants to be able to generate a single PDF download that combines a number of specific nodes from the site. We've been able to use the Views PDF module to create the PDF download, but the formatting within the document is pretty bad (and the functionality overall is a little unpredictable).
Anyone else have experience with this module or functionality? Can we buy you a drink to talk it over?
