Welcome to VANDUG!
The Vancouver Drupal Users Group (VanDUG) is the local meeting place for Greater Vancouver people interested in Drupal. We were formerly known as the Vancouver League of Drupalers, but that's a long story.
The group mostly hangs out on Slack at https://vandug.slack.com/. We also post our meetings on Meetup.com at https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Drupal-Users-Group. All are welcome, it's listed as a private group to keep out the griefers.
We've been holding semi-regular virtual meetings during COVID-19.

January 2007 Meeting Notes
There was record turn out at the January 25th meeting with approximately 30 people vying for chairs in the Bryght office in Gastown. The longest distance traveled award goes to a certain Toronto based "Bryght guy" joining us via webcam.
There were 4 presentations:
- Contec (Drupal + Mobile Phones)
- BPO Canada
- Dale McGladdery on making a scheduling grid with Views
- Steven Wittens with a demo of his new jQuery widgets

Let's kick off the year of meetings! Next Thursday, January 25th.
What we'll talk about:
- Drupal 5: it's released! what are people enjoying? having trouble with?
- recipes: Dale is going to share a recipe on using CCK and date fields to create a conference schedule page. See northernvoice.ca for an example
- special guests: bpocanada.com has an outsourcing center in India but is headquartered here in Vancouver; they'll introduce themselves and talk about some of the work they've done
job: replace existing site with drupal
I'm looking to replace an existing video blogging site with a CMS. The replacement should be pretty straightforward -- detailed specs and nothing too unusual. The interesting part will be opening the site to contributions from people of varying interest and technical skill. I think Drupal should be up to the task.
Please contact me for more info. Applicants should be in Vancouver.

Apologies in advance for the sketchiness of the notes. Roland couldn't take notes because we stole his laptop for demos, and I was talking too much to capture details!
If I've missed anything please be sure to add it to the comments.
