The Vancouver Drupal Users Group (VanDUG) is the local meeting place for Greater Vancouver people interested in Drupal. We were formerly known as the Vancouver League of Drupalers, but that's a long story.
The group mostly hangs out on Slack at https://vandug.slack.com/. We also post our meetings on Meetup.com at https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Drupal-Users-Group. All are welcome, it's listed as a private group to keep out the griefers.
We've been holding semi-regular virtual meetings during COVID-19.

I want to money rise my web site with Google Absence Ads. The web hosting company is .http://www.greengeeks.com/ They give no Drupal support, they only host it. I am using one point Fantastico Deluxe from their control panel. Accessing admin, how do I go about putting the Absence Code in to monetize the site? Any help appreciated

I'm wondering if anyone can suggest how to determine what is causing this problem.

The problem is the group mission is duplicated at the bottom of the group home page. I have this problem on one site but not another. It is also visible on some groups at groups.drupal.org but not others. I'm teaching a Drupal course at Langara College for beginners, no knowledge is assumed although SQL, HTML, CSS, PHP, JQuery, Image Editor (Photoshop, GIMP, Fireworks, etc.) would be useful as always.
One can expect to leave the course with a useful Drupal App, the subjects:
- Images
- WYSIWYG
- Menus
- Views
- Panels
etc.
The course is 6 weeks long (1 X 3 hour class per week)

Drupal in a Day Workshop
The Vancouver Drupal In A Day Workshop is a hands-on introduction to building a web site using the free, open-source content management system Drupal. We will cover questions like "What can Drupal do?", "Why choose Drupal?", and general concepts of on-line content management with a database behind your web site. Then we'll work through the basics of setting up a Drupal site.
This workshop is suitable for Drupal beginners.
