Vancouver

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Welcome to VANDUG!

The Vancouver Drupal Users Group (VanDUG) is the local meeting place for Greater Vancouver people interested in Drupal. We were formerly known as the Vancouver League of Drupalers, but that's a long story.

The group mostly hangs out on Slack at https://vandug.slack.com/. We also post our meetings on Meetup.com at https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Drupal-Users-Group. All are welcome, it's listed as a private group to keep out the griefers.

We've been holding semi-regular virtual meetings during COVID-19.

Drupal Mirror Con

Anyone interested in helping with a West Coast Drupal Mirror Con, for the Mar. 19-20 weekend, and/or Mar. 26-27 weekend, after the Chicago DrupalCon, where we screen the videos from the most popular sessions in Chicago? The videos, according to Neil Kent at the Chicago Con, are supposed to be up within 24 hours.

Scott Nelson, of Dharmalab, is interested and has offered the lab for the Mar. 19-20 weekend, but I thought I'd see if anyone else is interested.

RFP for Vancouver's Drupal 7 launch party!

Yes, as we've all undoubtedly heard by now, Drupal 7 now has an official release date: January 5th, 2011. Simultaneous Drupal 7 launch parties are scheduled across the globe for Friday, January 7th, 2011. (From my understanding, the improvements to D7 are such that this will give us all plenty of time to get our first D7 sites polished and released.)

But! There's no officially scheduled party for Vancouver yet! I KNOW, right?

Multilanguage

Hi all,

at a recent Drupal meetup, where Ben Holt gave a great talk on hosting/server setup and we discussed hosting, someone at the meetup mentioned that they specialized in building Multi-language websites.

Right now, I'm losing most of what little hair I have left fighting with building dynamic argument driven views using taxonomy in multi-language sites and I was wondering if that person was available for some consultation?

Wondering how to create a content type with very specific uses

Hi all,
I am a newbie by most account so please go easy on me. I when to the first Vancouver basic course on Drupal last weekend, which was AWESOME, and it provided me the courage to come on line and ask questions. Hopefully that does not become discouraging factor for future events.

I have created a site for members only for a course we are taking in which I would like to create a content type that allows users to create a draft of their final paper which can be created and edited along the way.
