Following extensive collaboration with Jeff Noyes and Lisa Rex of Acquia's design team, we're excited to share an interactive prototype of Drupal Commons 3.x, and hope that you'll provide feedback.

Has anyone found or created a manual or guide (no matter how big or small) for Commons site builders, community managers, and/or content creators and admins?

Less interested in things having to do with development, themeing, or admin that are covered here . . .

I think folksonomy is one of the key success factor in the community development for knowlegdge sharing.
Can we enable all user member of a group to tag other's posts?

It's been a few weeks since our last update on the progress of Commons 3.x, the upcoming Drupal 7 version.

Thanks to everyone who's participated in high-level architecture conversations so far!

Over the next week, we'll move towards marking those issues as fixed so if you'd like to weigh in, please do so now :).

I've posted several issues for discussing the Commons 3.x (Drupal 7) architecture.

If you have input to share about the way we build Activity streams, the choice of base theme, the WYSIWYG editor or wiki functionality in Commons, now is the time to share your thoughts!

Edit: I've added this post to the Groups.drupal.org and Maintenance groups, but it's certainly possible that GDO would implement a particular feature in a different way from Commons.

As part of preliminary work on the Commons information architecture for Drupal 7, I'm interested in how many groups people join on an Organic groups site.

Surely everyone is like myself and is a member of twenty or more groups, right? Apparently not!

For example, if we look at group membership on Groups.Drupal.org, we see that nearly 74 percent of GDO users are in only 1-2 groups! However, in aggregate, ~26% of people are in more than two groups.

I think it's more a question to the Acquia guys. And the question is: are there any terms for Commons on D7?

I know that you have lots of other work to do. But knowing at least approximate dates would give us some information to think about. For example if that's a matter of a month, I think most of us could wait until Commons in D7 appear. And if it will be no closer than 6-8 months - it's absolutely different situation.

This is in some way call to arms! ;)

I would like to suggest CSA, Transition towns and other real-world communities and individuals to join forces and resources and help Acquia to build one community Drupal distribution to rule them all. :)

As an important step towards planning a Drupal 7 version of Commons, we've developed an initial set of user stories to make up the Commons MVP (Minimum Viable Product).

As part of the planning process, we'd like to get your feedback on these user stories!

It would be great if in providing feedback you could state your relationship to Commons (eg, end-user, current Commons site builder, considering starting a site on Commons).
