Would you use Blocks, Panels, Views or Display Suite for this homepage design?
Colleagues!,
I'm building a Drupal commerce site and wondering how you'd approach the layout for the body of the following homepage design (see attached). The header is already done. It's the body and footer on which I'd like input. Would you use panels? Simple blocks? Your thoughts, suggestions, caveats, and best practice experiences are appreciated. Many thanks. I'll see some of you tomorrow night at the review class.

Planning: Capital District Nosh & Connect - What would you like to talk about? Please take the survey
Good afternoon,
I'd like to get a few upcoming Drupal Nosh and Connects on the calendar for the coming months and to do that I need to know what you:
- Want to learn about and explore
- Want to share (Willing to present? That would be awesome!).
I've put together a survey to poll people's interests - I'll keep it up for one week (through 2pm on 2/25/15).
Please take the survey http://goo.gl/forms/CHWsJVMo39 and feel free to share it.
Warm regards,
Meredith

Let's see if we can get some more of our group through the exam while the study effort last month and this is still fresh in your mind.

PHP help
Folks,
This is a Drupal forum so I don't want to clog the airwaves with non-drupal content, but if you are PHP savvy and willing to field a PHP question, please get in touch.

The votes and comments are in. Taking a logical union of all the inputs results in an empty set. In other words it doesn’t appear there is a way to satisfy everyone’s needs and wants. So this schedule is a best cut, and recognizes that not everyone will be able to attend all the sessions.
• January 2, 6 pm to 8 pm, Kickoff meeting
• January 3, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
• January 5, 6 pm to 8 pm

Voting for Study Group Dates/Times
After realizing there is no way to create a multiple option question, or delete a poll after creating it, ignore the two polls and take this SurveyMonkey poll https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KVXWKTF instead.

I mentioned this at the last user group meeting and during Module Monday. Time to push it forward, so here is the information from the Acquia Website at https://www.acquia.com/customer-success/learning-services/acquia-certifi....
