Read moreDebugging with KomodoIDE on Windows: Browser never completes
I posted in the support forum but didn't get any replies. ActiveState was baffled. I'm wondering if any of my fellow Bostonians have any clue why when I debug with Komodo IDE, after the debugger runs, the browser never completes the request. The page never refreshed. If there is a redirect, that part does happen.
Details are here: http://drupal.org/node/822700
Is anyone using KomodoIDE debugging under Windows with success?
Read moreArea Verizon port change
Hi,
It seems as though one of the area's primary ISPs, Verizon, is blocking port 25 and thus blocking most outgoing email including all of the notifications from my local Drupal installations. The port issue is easy enough to fix on my email client, but I'm not so sure what can be done with the local server settings. I'm using a Mac running basic MAMP (not Pro).
Not a Drupal issue? True, but I can't be the only non-server admin with dozens of broken local Drupal installs. Maybe one of you are dealing with the issue and we can help each other. What I've tried:

Hi,
Spare Change News had me add on a feature where users can, anonymously if they want, answer a given question each week with their response. Comments would have been PERFECT, but they wanted a few extra fields so I created two new content types:
Burning Question: Just basically a title and a question
Community Response: A response that is tagged to a given questions and lets users input their vendor, hometown, and first name/last initial.

Here's a challenge for you for our next Boston (Cambridge) meet up:
My site's pages are basically three parts: Header, right sidebar (lots of custom blocks), and display area. The header and sidebar are sensitive to how how one got there (context). However, occasionally, such as a "see all" link from a block, throws the sidebar and header off because the context is lost. Additionally, when going from a taxonomy/term/xxx or blog/xxx to an individual post, the user want to maintain the previous context.

Paid consulting help needed immediately- data reporting with Views II, views_calc and views_groupby
Hey Boston drupallers-
Joel Sindelar here, occasional drupaller. I'm working on a project for Jane Doe Inc (non-violence advocacy) through Housingworks Inc. and we've set up a data collection site to log how their staff is spending their time. We're at the point of setting up reports for the data, which involves aggregating data, and calculating some percentages, with Views. Some of this functionality is taken care of by views_groupby and perhaps views_calc, some of which isn't. Need someone with some coding skills to help create these reports. $60-$80/hour depending on experience, probably less than 20 hours of work, we have a due date of June 1, so you have to be available now. Good work, interesting people, good cause.
