This group should probably have more organizers. See documentation on this recommendation.

Major communities in our area include Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, Bradenton,
Tarpon Springs, and Lakeland on the West coast, though to Orlando and Daytona Beach on the East coast.

Group for mutual assistance in installing configuring Drupal sites. Especially  community and  newspaper  sites

Serious Security Flaw in USB Devices

I just ran across an article regarding a new discovered security flaw in any USB devices. And yes Virginia, this could affect Mac's. Someone has discovered how to store viruses / malware in the firmware of a USB devices. Here is an excerpt from the article along with a link to the full article.

This month will be an overview about Migrate API - used to migrate Drupal 6 to 7, or using a legacy database, XML file or spreadsheet. Migrate from Wordpress to Drupal is one popular example.

Migrate will also be the official upgrade path from Drupal 6 or 7 to Drupal 8, so it's a good idea to become familiar with it now.

Workshop Headcount - “Parent/Child Data Modeling with Entities”

We are coordinating having Jay Epstein present a workshop on “Parent/Chile Data Modeling with Entities”, the presentation he gave at Drupal Camp 2014. He presented this topic in Brevard recently and there was a lot of interest and requests for workshops for which he agreed to do.

A date and location are being sought but we need a headcount of interested persons so we can consider options. This will be a full day workshop held in Brevard County.

Florida Drupal Camp 2014 - Coding for a Cause

This Saturday is the annual Florida DrupalCamp. Web developers and Drupalists from all over the state are coming together to learn, network and discuss web development and the Drupal content management system. For more information on the camp visit: https://fldrupalcamp.org

On Sunday, we will be holding the companion Community Day event, and as part of that we are looking for volunteers to help us with the Coding for a Cause program.

This event brings Drupal developers and project managers together with one or more non-profit organizations in need of a new website.
