Central Florida

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.
This group should probably have more organizers. See documentation on this recommendation.

Major communities in our area include Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, Bradenton,
Tarpon Springs, and Lakeland on the West coast, though to Orlando and Daytona Beach on the East coast.

Group for mutual assistance in installing configuring Drupal sites. Especially  community and  newspaper  sites

Maintain the Momentum in Miami

Thanks to everyone who came out for last night's South Florida Drupal User's meetup! It was a great turnout for your first meetup in a long time, now all that needs to be done is to build on the momentum we gained last night.

The 15+ people who attended last night seemed to really enjoy it - thanks for making Ryan and myself feel at home. One word of advice, next time DrupalEasy.com offers to buy you a beverage, you should take it - I got out of there quite inexpensively last night!

Great Restart to the Drupal Miami Meetup!

Last night we had an astounding restart to our drupal meetups. About 15 (someone correct me if they actual counted) drupalistas of all stripes were there. The cafe was very accommodating and gave us a big table in the back to do our meetup. Here's a list of the presentations. For those of you who presented, can you please add in the details?

Drupal developer for hire

I'm a veteran Drupal developer of 5 years now and unfortunately the company I worked for has gone under and am looking for employment developing Drupal sites. I have a great deal of experience installing and administering Drupal as well as creating themes for Drupal (via scratch or from a template). I've also begun working on module creation.

Some examples of my professional and personal Drupal work can be found here:

BarCampOrlando 3

2009-04-18 10:00 - 18:00 America/New_York
Organizers:
Event type:
Drupalcamp or Regional Summit

Represent the Drupal community at BarCamp! It's one week from today!

BarCampOrlando is back and is going to be bigger and better than ever. The Orlando Scene has quickly proven it can put on one of the premier BarCamp events in the US, and quite possibly the world.
Only local images are allowed.
BarCampOrlando is a 1 day 'unconference' offering all attendees the opportunity to share their knowledge by giving short talks on ANY subject. This year we will have 3 different rooms to showcase the participants and sessions of different lengths to accommodate more content then you can shake your marshmallow stick at.
Only local images are allowed.
BarCamp by it's nature has no schedule, no keynote speaker, and no main topic of conversation - the participants decide the who, what, how, why and when - we just pick the where!

Looking for a Work Buddy-

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a Drupal buddy to work with as a structure for getting work done. I am an intermediate user who is an extrovert who works better when I can brainstorm how to do something and have someone around to chat about problems that come up. I'd love to find another intermediate user (or more skilled, even better) who would be willing to work parallel for a day, a few days, or even a couple of weeks. I am facing a January deadline and I haven't gotten nearly enough done.

Past Keynote Sessions include Shel Israel and Chris Heuer, along with organizer Josh Hallet. This year's lineup has grown from one to four to five sessions (now in the third year).

Check http://www.BlogOrlando.com for details and updates.
