Drupal hosting and dev/test environment challenges
Hi all,
First, thanks to Brad Jones for the great talk on containers, dev environments, and log shipping and aggregation!
On a related topic, I'd love some feedback on common Drupal hosting challenges for a project I hope will solve some common issues Drupal devs run into with environments, server config, etc.
Anyway, here's the short survey if you have a minute -- I really appreciate your time!
I hope to share results at an upcoming central Denver meetup. :)
Yours in Drup,

Drupal Contrib Ladder Meetup
Howdy All!
We are starting up the Drupal Contrib Ladder again this coming Wednesday. With the recent announcement of Drupal 8 release candidate, we felt it'd be a great time to start looking at modules that are used and how we can contribute to get them ready for D8.
Bring a laptop!
Bring a module or two (doesn't have to be your module, perhaps one you use or are interested in)
Food and drinks will be provided as we sit around the table and work to make the world a better place one module upgrade at a time.

Would love feedback on my approach at scaffolding a Drupal 8 project for development and deployment...Drude and Bowline are interesting but both appear focused on D7 at the moment. My project below lacks CI, so far, but anyone with some time to play around with this, I'd appreciate your thoughts.
(There was a discussion about containerized development at the recent Denver meetup, so CC'ing that group as well.)

We'll continue our series, "Drupal 8 for Newbies". Tonight we'll focus on how to get up and running on Drupal 8, including:
- getting going with Drush 8,
- site building in Drupal 8,
- how to install a new theme, and copy an existing theme and modify it.
This is another hands-on session: bring your laptop! If possible, install Drupal 8 before you come. See the notes from the September meeting for step-by-step instructions, which are here.
Read moreProblem with SQL statement in Views D7
Hi there, I'm hoping a SQL ninja will find it in his or her heart to provide me with some advice.
I've created a page view which does the following:
- Pulls in nodes from two different content types
- Filters by two different term references, one for each content type.
It's not working, although in my mind (and limited sql understanding), it should. I think maybe there's an issue with the inner joins, because it seems the sql statement would working if they weren't there.
Anyways, I've attached two images, one of the api and one of the actual sql statement.

Let's explore Drupal 8! We'll download, install, and poke around Drupal 8, and start getting to know it.
This is a hands-on working session: bring your laptop with a running LAMP stack, or a way to access a remote development server. This is primarily for Drupal users who haven't yet tried out Drupal 8. But, experienced Drupal 8 users are welcome -- your advice, suggestions, and experience will help the rest of us come up to speed.

This month we'll have a follow-up talk to the DCCO session "An Introduction to Containers", presented by Gabe Sullice. We'll briefly refresh ourselves on what a container is, what Docker is, and then go into some real world applications not covered in that session. By the end, we should have a working local environment set up and ready to start local development using Docker.
