This month we are going to delve a bit into Drupal 8 and look at Views. Views is now included in Drupal core and is a part of many of the administration pages. We will look at some of the things we can do to these pages to make things a bit easier to maintain.
As always, there will be food and drinks provided by AppliedTrust so I hope to see you there.

Continuing the "Drupal 8 for Newbies" series: this month, we'll explore how to write Drupal 8 modules. This will be a hands-on session, not a training presentation -- so bring your laptop with Drupal 8 installed, and we'll explore the topic together.
We'll examine what's changed in D8, how to organize your code, and resources for learning more. With luck, we'll have something up and running by the end of the evening.
See you there!

It is December, a time to sit an reflect on happenings of the past year and discuss things we learned or things we are interested in learning in the coming year. For the Boulder Drupal Meetup, this generally means a time to sit, hang out, and chat.
Historically the December meetup has led to very interesting discussions on a variety of topics (not always Drupal related).
Come out and join us for a fun night of discussion at AppliedTrust. As always there will be food and drinks available so we hope to see you there.

Hi there. I have a problem with D7. My node titles are converting some symbols to html entities. IE: '&' is converted to '&' etc. This happens on all content types and regardless of whether I'm using automatic node titles. Here's a few examples:

It has been announced that Drupal8 is going to be released on November 19th. With that raises the questions of when does support for Drupal 6 stop (hint: May 19) as well as when should I upgrade?
Kevin Crafts and Kevin Reynen from CU are going to come out and tell let us in on how CU is evaluating the state of D8, exploring alternatives like Backdrop and Sculpin, and the changes they are making to their current D7 distribution to prepare for an inevitable change.
As always there will be food and drinks provided by AppliedTrust, so come down and enjoy.

Hey everyone,
I just checked the Drupal 8 Release Parties group and I don't see anything there for Denver. I'm planning to get started putting something together that we can host at the Elevated Third office. Just wanted to be sure no one else had started the planning process yet. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow, I'll get something up on the Drupal 8 Release Parties group and have some details very soon.

Continuing our series on "Drupal 8 for Newbies" ...
Last month, we got sidetracked into how to update Drupal 8, which brought us all up to the new D8 release candidate. So this month we'll explore site building in D8. We'll go through adding content, defining content types, and the like -- all along discovering what's new in D8.
This is a hand-on working session, in which we'll explore D8 together. So bring your laptops, and come dive in!
If you don't have D8 on your machine yet, not to worry; we'll help you get set up. Notes from previous meetings are here:
