Ideas on NewsML NITF XML importing....
Hi All:
Can anyone tell me a good (simple as possible) solution for importing/displaying NewsML (NITF format) XML feeds to a site. We have secured several of these types of feeds through an ftp push and in a perfect world would like to aggregate them into a single pipeline, displayed on our site. There seems to be a few people discussing the need for it but I'm having trouble deciphering the actual solution. Questions with no answers. Is there a combination of standard modules? or Lot's of coding?
Regards,
OAG

Open Office Night is in Fort Collins this month!
We'll be meeting at the Cohere coworking space at 215 Jefferson Street in old town Fort Collins. We'll have pizza and beer, and maybe baked things as well.
Bring your laptop and a current project and we'll get stuff done together.
If you don't have a current project, we can find something on Drupal.org for you to work on.
I know this is a bit of a haul to get up here to FtC on a weekday, so please reply to this thread if you are in need of or are willing to provide carpooling.

I did it in BADCamp and it worked really well. I think we'd need 5 or more mentors, ideally with diverse skills so we can help with a variety of questions. If you're willing to volunteer as a mentor, please leave a comment here.

Hello from New DBUG Member
As a new DBUG member I wanted to introduce myself (and colleague). My team is the marketing end of a small consulting firm in Denver. As part of that effort we create quite a few websites that have traditionally been hosted on third party CMS platforms at a cost. Until recently that model has sufficed as we have been very up-front about being designers over developers.
