Common field for CCK
Hi,
Is there some way, when I create a custom content type to flag a field as global (programaticaly or otherwise) between the created pages?
For example let's say the field in question is a file field, and I create "Page A" I select a file for the file field. Now if create "Page B"
the file field should be prepopulated with the file that I defined on "Page A" because they are of the same type. If I change the file
on "Page B" it should also change on "Page A".
Any ideas?
cheers

Hey folks, Is the HKDUG Nov Meetup tonight? Is it still on?

Just came home from HKDUG meetup today. Although the group was apparently smaller, we still had 2 great presentations thanks to Brent and Danila :)
One thing we did talk about was that Barcamp.HK 2011 (Thanks Joe for this wonderful news!) is closing up quickly. The event will be on Saturday 12/11/2011.
We all think that it is a great opportunity to showoff to the tech community why we love Drupal. We have had a few ideas from the HKDUG meetup tonight:

Any ideas of a good module that I can protect my site's login from brute force attacks?
Or maybe is the a way to disable the login altogether? By allowing the admin who has access to the server
to turn it on and off?
Thanks

I'm going to be visiting HK next month (Nov 20-25) and was wondering if there were any HKDUG meetups planned. I'm mostly curious because I organize the Denver meetups and would love to see how other meetups are run. Also, since the 2012 North American Drupalcon is being held in Denver, I may have some pre-drupalcon schwag and promo items to give out.

D7 Form 处理execute_handlers的逻辑错误以及解决办法
node.page.inc中,由node_form_submit();函数来执行,导致顺序颠倒,后面的函数失去意义。且该执行流程逻
辑错误。所有#submit指定项都应该由form_execute_handlers();来操作执行,而不是node_form_submit();
form_execute_handlers();判断需要执行的$handlers部分时,逻辑错误.
if (isset($form_state[$type . '_handlers'])) {
$handlers = $form_state[$type . '_handlers'];
}
// Otherwise, check for a form-level handler.
DrupalCamp Singapore - inviting a speaker from overseas - post your candidates here
As you may have noticed, Singapore was granted money for Community Cultivation by the Drupal Association so that we can bring in an international speaker to our DrupalCamp.
Is there anybody you would like to invite?
The funds should be sufficient to bring in somebody from Europe and maybe somebody from the States if we use sponsor money to top up.
Please post your suggestion as a comment, and also - when you post,
1) include the name of the proposed guest
2) write a short explanation why you think we should invite this person
3) what you think are the benefits for the drupal community in singapore / South/SE Asia
Alternately, add to the discussion that you second one of the proposed candidates.
Note that I'm including some groups in the region besides Singapore - there might be funds available for a stopover somewhere else in Asia, so I also encourage members from nearby countries to suggest candidates for the overseas speaker.

Read moreSetting owner:group of the files folder
Hi guys,
I migrated a drupal website to the production server and since then I'm getting a lot of permissions errors.
The files and tmp folder are not writable and only when I set the permissions to 777, drupal can write the folder.
Judging from the above problem I guess the owner/group of the above folder is wrong, unfortunately I don't have
permissions to run chown on the production server. So my question is what do I have to ask the server
administrator to set the owners of the folder to? Apache user? And what abou the group?
Any help is highly appreciated,
Manolis
