Gant Chart
I am wondering if anyone knows of a module I could use to make gant charts for my drupal site. Or, if there isn't what would be a good project managment style scheduling module?

I'm testing out TextMate and Xdebug on OS X, similar to Dan Kurtz at Trellon, but I'm still unclear about advantages of one debugger to another, and the benefits of an IDE vs. independent text editors. What development tools do you use? And what do you think is the best PHP debugger?

UPDATE
Pizza will be provided from Black Market Pizza so RSVP is crucial - please sign up if you are planning to attend. More Info
I like the idea of a short module sharing session built into each meeting. How about we try this next time:
- 7-7:15pm - Social multi-discussions of modules of the month. "Check this out!"
- 7:15-7:30pm - Introductions, this way we get the stragglers too. "Hi. My name is Michael and I'm a Drupal-holic."
- 7:30 - 8pm Round Table single-discussion. Topic to be determined by attendees and allowed to flow freely. "I do it like this, how do you do it?"
- 8-9pm Formal presentation
TBD. Any volunteers? Be brave and bold! Volunteer someone else?Theming round table discussion lead by Dan DeGeest.
We are an open group of Drupal users in Ames, Iowa willing to freely share knowledge about Drupal.
We meet 7-9pm the last Monday of the month at iMed Studios.

March 2009 Meet-up
I enjoyed meeting everyone at the Feb. meet-up and I'm really looking forward to our next gathering. Michael H. posed the question "Any ideas/agenda for the next meeting?" in another thread. I've a few ideas:
- Continue discussion on modules (or maybe dedicate 15 minutes per meeting to 'module of the month')
- Roundtable discussion on how everyone configures their drupal installs and complications they've encountered (single site or multi-site, server config, etc.)
Need an Elegant Solution
This discussion may prompt another brain dump...if so, this noob would like to apologize in advance and thank any dumpers who care to enlighten me.
I have quite a few users who generate school-related newsletters (mostly in print) and I'm finding that many use MS Publisher to do so. They would like to be able to post their creations into the district web site and have the content appear with included graphics, active links, etc. I guess the basic question I'm asking here... Is there a right way to elegantly accomodate something like MS Publisher content in Drupal 6?

Michael put me up to this... and rightfully so. He said that hook_form_alter would be my friend and it is. But it's not my best friend, yet.
Long story short... I have an assistant who's ready to bless my new site with buckets of content. Specifically, user profiles. Problem: I didn't feel comfortable turning her loose on the data using the default user profile form because it carried a lot of stuff that could only make trouble for us (like menu settings, body input format selector, revision settings, etc.).

I desperately need to sort a view by taxonomy term weight BUT my key vocabulary is 4 levels deep and term weights appear to "reset" at each level. So, for instance, in my vocabulary the terms District, Elementary and Pre-K all have a weight of 0. For example, a portion of the taxonomy for a school site that I'm building looks like this:
Extracurricular / Weight=14
-- Administration / Weight=0
---- Clerical / Weight=0
-- Athletics / Weight=1
---- Baseball / Weight=0
---- Basketball / Weight=1
---- Cheerleading / Weight=2
Sub Groups?
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I can make sub-groups using organic groups? I added OG subgroups module to my site thinking that would work, but nothing seems to have happened...
Read moreWhy should you get a free copy of "Learning Drupal 6 Module Development"?
Yesterday, I received 3 copies of "Learning Drupal 6 Module Development". I requested these from Packt to entice new members (thank you Packt). So, if you have never attended a meeting and would like a free copy post a comment below briefly describing yourself, your Drupal experience (if any), other web development experience and a short plee why you deserve a book. The first 3 people to post a decent plea and attend a meeting will get a free copy at that meeting. If we have more than 3 people who qualify at the meeting, attendees will decide which 3 are the best. Lack of experience with good intentions and a plan seems like a decent plee to me.
So who wants a free book?
