Welcome to the Groups site for the Nebraska Developers and Users Group, where we discuss, share and find ways to provide local face-to-face interaction which can support activities like hosting speakers, providing tutorials, Question and Answer sessions, establishing relationships with others in the geographic area, and generally expand the community of Drupal users.
As of 2024, our meetings are held bi-monthly in Omaha.

Well, it's February now and we haven't had much activity on the groups page or with the meetups. The last meetup was in October last year. (I know everyone has been really busy!!)

No meetup tonight
Nebraskan Drupalers,
I wanted to apologize to everyone. The third Tuesday of this month snuck up way too quickly on me and it wasn't until yesterday that someone reminded me that tonight was supposed to be our Lincoln meetup. And because of a conflict and work load I'm not able to organize or attend today. Plus we were thinking about finding a more central location (although Pickering was a great place) in Lincoln, and I hadn't had a chance to finalize a location for everyone.

Drupal Mobile
Oh yes Dave I am active here :) It seems my group has grown up. Anyway, what I'm working on right now is mobility and I'm about to take my site and turn it mobile. A few things that will have to be worked around is what I want to allow is users to download say BlackBerry themes/apps OTA. So what's going to happen is the creation of http://m.anthonylicari.com
Now it gets tricky because I'm not quite sure if I want to have m.anthonylicari.com pull from the same database and list latest news posts or not further syncing content between the main site and mobile site with the OTA downloads available.
This seems easy enough to accomplish from scratch but with an existing drupal installation it should be interesting.
Anyway, I've got a few projects I'm working on in the Neb area and I'll see if I can't meet up sooner or later.

Omaha: Recommendations for post-meetup hangouts
I'm moving to Omaha on Aug 11-12 and it will be my first time actually living there. We are most likely going to be having our meetups in Omaha at Envoy Inc, which is right near 108th & Maple. If you have a recommendation for a place that we could hang out at after the meetups for continued socialization and/or drinks, please let me know!
