Welcome to the Groups site for the Nebraska Developers and Users Group, where we discuss, share and find ways to provide local face-to-face interaction which can support activities like hosting speakers, providing tutorials, Question and Answer sessions, establishing relationships with others in the geographic area, and generally expand the community of Drupal users.
As of 2024, our meetings are held bi-monthly in Omaha.

Get Motivated Seminar in Omaha, anyone going?
Hey all,
I havent really posted much in this group (maybe once ever) but I thought I'd shoot this out. There is a cheap seminar called Get Motivated on June 21st ( http://www.getmotivated.com/ ). It is probably just a big motivational seminar but has a bunch of "famous" people at it. I know its not particularly about drupal or web devel but I'm a business owner in Omaha and will probably go to see if they give any good biz insite.
Anyone else planning on going?

June DrupalCamps, choose wisely!
If you didn't already know, there are two close regional DrupalCamps both on June 26-27 (Sat/Sun). DrupalCamps are basically mini-DrupalCons, so you get good, quality sessions (for both beginners and gurus) and a decent attendance of usually 200-500 people (a lot easier to find someone than the 3000 people at DrupalCon San Francisco).

New Drupal Nebraska Group logo
Michael has put up some great initial designs for a new logo for our group and we're long overdue for an update to my five-minute-GIMP-disaster. What does everyone think? Any other suggestions?
Nebraska Drupal Group May Meetup (Omaha)

The April Drupal Nebraska meetup was held last Saturday. We opened with some Drupal news:
- DrupalCon San Francisco is over. Go watch the great sessions!
- Drupal is officially moving to Git. If anyone has any expertise with Git (or plans to learn it), we'd love to have a presentation on it!
- Drush released it's first stable 3.x release. There's a patch in the queues for integrating Demo module. Please test it and give your feedback.

Hello, Nebraska!
Hi everyone, just wanted to post a quick introduction. My name's Justin Ellison, and I live in Kearney (yes, we have computers here ;-)). I've been a Linux/Unix/Cisco sysadmin for close to 15 years, and have been developing shell, Perl, and PHP on and off for most of those years. I've ran my own blog for a few years now, initially on Wordpress, but quickly learned to hate it and setup Drupal instead.
