Drupal 7 Release Party in Los Angeles

Is anyone planning to get together for a Drupal 7 Release Party? There are going to be release parties around the world similar to the Firefox 1.0 release party in 2004 and I think it would be fun to have one or more here in Southern California.

I'm going to be out of town that weekend, so I can't do much in the way of organizing a Los Angeles event. Would someone like to take this on?

Angie Byron (webchick) and Joe Shindelar are coming to Los Angeles for Lullabot's Webchick Drupal 7 Tour on January 21-22, 2011:

This is different from the Drupal 7 Release Party idea, but why not combine the two? I've contacted Lullabot to see if they're up for it.

Are there any places you can think of that can host this on the 7th? Although I'm not able to put any time into planning this, I heard from the D7RP organizers yesterday and we've been asked to make sure this happens on the 7th.

All the LA Drupal managers

All the LA Drupal managers are out of town this weekend so there's no official LA Drupal D7 release party this Friday. There is a release "pre-party" tomorrow (the 5th) in Long Beach and a full on release party in San Diego on the 7th.
