Read moreUbercart for Events, not Products?
Hello,
I'm recently a new user to Drupal 7. I'm working on setting up an E-Commerce (Ubercart 2.0) section for this site and I need this module to let me enter events into the catalog instead of Products.
Where I'm running into problems is an event can last 5 days, but people have to option to go 1day, 3days, all days, etc.; plus they can have multiple combinations of Junior Tickets, Adult Gen. Admission Tickets, Reserved Tickets, Pit Passes, etc. I'm finding out that Ubercart's Products feature really isn't handling all the different combinations.

To use the analogy of Drupal as a vehicle, the focus of the April user group meeting will be on the drivers rather than the mechanics. Alternately called End Users or Community Managers, these are the people who manage Drupal sites on a day-to-day basis. The agenda is simply a roundtable discussion on what works and what doesn’t for managing our sites, training our coworkers to use the sites effectively, and any other issues we face in administering our Drupal websites.

Drupal Recon
Hi Gang,
I spent most of my time at Drupalcon Chicago in BoFs, meetings, the coder lounge and Core Conversations this year, so I didn't make many of the session presentations. I figured I'd catch-up on those via recorded versions over at http://www.archive.org/ when I got back. So, I'm wondering if you all wouldn't mind posting your favorite session presentations here. It might be nice to cull a few of the favorites for a periodic showing at the local TC Drupal meetups too.
Thanks!

March Twin Cities Ubercart and Drupal Commerce meeting
Hi Everyone!
Having just returned from the Chicago Drupalcon -- getting a meeting notice out was totally forgotten. Always note, we will have our meeting on our regularly scheduled day unless you receive a notice to change that.
As we stated last month, I am going to talk about Drupal 7's Drupal Commerce.
I took the full day preconference course that was offered by Ryan S -- we did actual hands on training and created a little store -- so thought I would demonstrate that tonight.
What you'll see:
- the much leaner modules
- drupal now has entities and nodes
- some of the changes in how it handles what used to be called attributes and options
- a look at the new admin menu
- what has not been done as of this date
- where to find the tarball to download and play
I do hope you plan to join me --
Refreshments always welcome!

Hey Twin Cities Drupalers,
Inspired by the sprints today I would really like to have a meetup where we can get out the laptops and actually work on code together. Our conference room can hold about 30 people and we have a projector. Oh and there will be beer on tap!

Hey Twin Cities Drupallers,
I'd like to start our own Twin Cities IRC channel. I've been using #drupal-mpls for a while, but I think it would be a good idea to be more inclusive of the whole area. So, I think using #drupal-tc as the official Twin Cities Drupal IRC channel would be a good idea. I think it'll be especially important to have "high-bandwidth communication" (in the words of Dries) in the time leading up to the DrupalCamp in May.
What do people think? I suppose you can also register your approval by joining the room :-).

Just a suggestion for a social event during Twin Cities Drupal Camp - the headlining comedian at Acme Comedy that weekend is Dana Gould. Dana was a producer for The Simpsons for 7 years, and is an absolute treat to see live.
If there's interest in reserving a block of tickets for this, I can help organize that. (I worked at the club for a number of years and have friends there.) Because these shows are going to sell out, I can say up front that they won't give any group discounts and I'd recommend reserving at least a month in advance.

Hi everyone,
As discussed at the last TCDrupal phone conference this week.
I am trying to break down the Drupal audience for DrupalCamp (and other marketing initiatives).
Here’s what I came up with. It’s not exhaustive and there is some cross-over. Under each category there are organizations or individuals that we can bring into the loop, as necessary.
Drupal Happy Hour!
Time for another installment of Drupal Happy Hour. Talk about what you want, but DrupalCon Chicago and Drupal 7 are still huge. Don't be shy, new folks are welcomed and encouraged!

See you then!

The Mobile Drupalbus Sprint to Drupalcon is coming up on March 6. Come help us organize the topics we'll work on during the sprint (e.g. module upgrades, documentation, general support, etc.) and make sure we've got any/all necessary planning and prep work set before we all set foot on the bus.
For non-riders, we'll need all the input we can get to help determine what will best serve our local as well as the general Drupal community. Perhaps we can even arrange some live virtual sprint participation for those unable to join us on the bus itself.
For more info about the Drupalbus check out: http://groups.drupal.org/node/120989
As always, the meeting will offer time for other questions, announcements, networking and, of course, pizza and your favorite beverages (please feel free to bring some for sharing).

February TC Drupal Ubercart/E
Hi Everyone-- it's Twin Cities Ubercart/Ecommerce User Group meeting time!
Agenda for February 16, 2011 meeting (7pm to 9pm):
- Introductions
- Topic: Taxonomy menus (I realize this is near and dear to everyone's heart)
Since Taxonomy menus play a large role in Ubercart - thought we should explore the needs some of us have to configure them differently from the "out of the box" version.
a. Can we do such
b. What are some of the issues we have come across - or, what is it you would like yours to do.
c. Has anyone developed work-arounds for their menus
