Important logistics info for tonight's October TC Drupal meetup!

Due to the Open Kitchen event taking place at the same time as our Drupal meetup tonight (see original meeting post), we will be moving our meeting to the conference room in ArtsHub West -- just a hundred yards away.

The ArtsHub West building faces Aldrich Ave S and is located directly behind the the main Intermedia Arts facility where we normally meet. Parking is available in both the lot next to ArtsHub West which you can enter from Aldrich or in the main lot next to Intermedia Arts which you can enter from Lyndale Avenue.

TCDrupal October meetup -- this Wednesday 7-9PM!

Start:
2012-10-24 19:00 - 21:00 America/Chicago
Organizers:
Event type:
User group meeting

That's right, this Wednesday, October 24th, is the 4th Wednesday of the month. That means it's TCDrupal meetup time! Come join us from 7-9PM at Intermedia Arts.

Last month we dug into the Drupal Ladder to learn how to test and write patches (thanks Joe Shindelar for guiding us!).

This month we have no official presentation lined up, so let's set up a smorgasbord agenda:

  • Bring a question -- have something you'd like the local Drupal community help you solve?
  • Bring something to share -- done something cool with Drupal lately or find a module/initiative/happening (Views in core anyone?) you'd like to share?
  • If there's interest, let's continue up the Drupal Ladder (or review first few lessons).

We'll convene in the Intermedia Arts theater and pull together a meetup tuned to who shows up.

Headless Web Browser During Cron?

I tried to post this to Drupal Answers but it was shut down. Still, I think it's an interesting question. Maybe one of you locals knows the answer or would be kind enough to vote the question re-opened?

Using Service Links Module

So...I am new to Drupal and catching up to speed at good pace but I could still be naive to basic understandings.

I am trying to enable the 'service links' module which has 'share' module as a requirement. I am using Drupal 7. Service Links has version 7 but the Share module is in version 6. It looks like others are using service links in drupal 7 so I am wondering what I am missing. How do I work around the version lag of the service module? Can I?

How to pass a variable from one function to another function?

On a Drupal 6 Website I am trying to accomplish the following:

On a node (page), I want to pull the node title and then I want to send the node title over to a webform that is displayed as a block on the same page, as a hidden field.

Here is what I have so far:

//currently being done inside a custom module - not sure how else to code it

//get node information
function customform_nodeapi(&$node, $op, $teaser, $page){
switch($op){
case 'view':
if ($node->type == "recorded_webinars"){
$cf_node_title = $node->title;['value'];
}
break;
}//end switch
}

Zen vs Omega

Hi everyone,

I have a couple questions:

  1. Which is better; Zen or Omega for a configurable theme that I will probably place my own custom theme on top-of.

  2. Why?

TC Drupal Happy Hour -- this Thursday!

Start:
2012-10-04 17:30 - 21:30 America/Chicago
Organizers:
Event type:
User group meeting

If the giant whooshing sound of leaves from thousands of trees simultaneously dumping themselves to the ground was not enough of a clue -- this is the first week in October! That means TC Drupal Happy Hour is this Thursday, October 4th. Meet other Drupalers and the Drupal curious at the Blue Nile for delicious food, beverages and conversation. The festivities begin between 5:30 and 6 and last to whenever.

If you are interested in helping make plans for the 2013 Drupalcamp Twin Cities, show up at 5:30 for our first exploratory planning meeting. Everyone interested is invited, no Drupal experience necessary. In fact helping with the camp is a great way to get involved and learn about Drupal from the community perspective. Read (our fearless host) Keri Poeppe's separate post for more info about the camp planning meeting.

It's all happening here:
Blue Nile
2027 Franklin Ave. E.

Remove Webform from "admin/content/webform" list?

I am trying to remove old webforms (6.x-3.11) from a drupal 6 website.

Some of these old webforms must have already been partially removed: Here is why I think that:

1. When I navigate to Content management > Content > List, (filter by webform content type) - The old webforms do not show up in the list.

Twin Cities Drupal Camp 2013: Let the planning begin -- please join us

We kick off planning for Drupal Camp 2013 on Thursday, October 4 at 5:30 PM at the Blue Nile in Minneapolis (same time and location as the monthly meet up). From the beginning, it takes a lot of people to create a great camp. You are needed and welcome to join us!

This is our first meeting, so we'll set goals and begin thinking through dates and logistics. Yeah, that sounds a little dry, but happy hour runs until 6PM.

View more details on user "access denied" messages?

I've received a couple notices that a few users are not able to login to the drupal 6 site that I have setup. I can see the access denied message in "Recent logs entries" but I'm not given any details as to why the user was denied.
