kika made a diagram of the current information and information streams we have on usability, which were quite fragmented. I mindmapped a new way to divide that information so we'd have places for:
People who want to help Drupal Usability
One place for discussions
One place for issues
Here's the mindmap:

(bigger version attached)
Any comments?
I've also attached the .mm Mindmap file which you can view and edit with Freemind (open source & cross platform). As D.O. does not accept .mm files, rename the file to end in " .mm".
Next actions:
*rearranging and updating the handbook big one
*cleaning up the forum
*perhaps move some forum discussions to GDO

FYI: side task - deprecated forum post pruning
On the post-con-sprint day, Kika suggested I trawl through the deprecated forum for usability (http://drupal.org/forum/6 ), and find out
1) what is unrelated, add a note that this forum is closed, re-direct users
2) what is a useful suggestion, add it to usability issue queue in the appropriate place.
I also talked with add1sun who helped develop a suggestion to stop posters using the deprecated fora as a stop-gap (since fora cannot be "locked" with the current forum module, and the word 'deprecated' is only a addition to the title).
If you are able to support this idea, or add to it, please see:
http://drupal.org/node/231728
Pruning Task:
Task 1 - In the deprecated usability forum, I'm trying to 'close' threads recently used threads with a friendly and useful message. This will hopefully discourage posting, and still provide a helpful experience for people.
Task 2 - To identify good suggestions tucked away in the forum and pull them into the usability issue queue. I haven't done so yet, but I think there are a few which will be good to add to the queue. In that case, I would be sure to edit the forum post and paste in the forwarding link; and add a reference to the old forum post as well.
If anyone wants to prune dead posts with me, feel free. You can use the text above, if it suits.
That is a nice initiative,
That is a nice initiative, thanks. I´d also add a short info about how to assign items to "usability" component when posted. Are there any URL tricks so we can provide a link what already pre-fills the component field with "Usability"? Somehthing along the lines of "node/add/issue?[component]=x" ?
