Like other Drupal sites, Drupal.org is Drupal core, some contrib modules, and a theme. Issues affecting the site should be implemented in the issue queues of these projects.
The Dev Tools Team tracks these issues with tags.

Drupal.org team week notes #20
Drupal.org improvements
Last week we deployed a major improvement for issue page workflow: https://drupal.org/node/2159813. The issue edit form is back on the issue page, instead of the standard comment form. Huge thanks to webchick, Mark Carver, sanchiz, Bojhan, joachim and everyone else who worked on the issue.

Are any of the IdeaScale ideas still relevant @ http://drupal-association.ideascale.com/ ? Some of these ideas will work out perfectly for a Google Summer of Code project and the ideas are already nicely documented.
Anyone interested in being a mentor or know a friend that might? Maybe you have another project in mind? Please add ideas into the 2014 GSoC Drupal Idea Wiki (https://groups.drupal.org/node/404778). We hope to finish reviewing GSoC ideas by this Wednesday night Feb 12th at midnight UTC-6.

I've been going through the Drupal.org Customizations list.
Realized with many of the changes it would to be able to evaluate with some sort of AB testing.
It would be really good to have measurable results for various changes so that we can actually test what the impact of the is.

Community Tools Leadership Team
Overview
The Drupal.org Software Working Group (drumm, eliza411, tvn, webchick) was chartered to provide vision and direction for Drupal.org by working with the community on Drupal.org software in a number of ways. The first duty on our list is establishing team leadership.
From the charter:
(DSWG) Creates and removes teams for each major area of the Drupal.org websites, which have authority to make software and feature decisions within their scope. The DSWG defines and appoints the leadership roles within each team, such as a technical lead, product owner, QA lead, etc.
Gittip, Logos & Gamification, Oh My!
I've been worried about Drupal participation lately. Partly because we should be at the peak of D7 participation right now and there are still so many modules that are lagging in an unfinished state. I don't remember this being the case with D6 contrib modules prior to the release of D7, but I have no facts to back that up.
Most of the posts are in here - https://drupal.org/project/drupalorg
Which may not be the right place to put them, but when I've got working examples, it's more concrete than just a discussion.

Back in December , the Drupal.org Software Working Group announced the search for a Drupal.org Developer Tools Leadership Team.
We’ve narrowed down the list of candidates and are now in the final process of confirming their availability and getting other details in order. Look for a final post running down the roster on the January 30, as well as more concrete steps on how to interact with the team going forward.

There is never a shortage of things to do on Drupal.org and that’s never been more true than right now. We have D7 upgrade clean up to finish, as well as variety of improvements that were on hold during the upgrade. We want you to know what our tech team is focused on and where we’re spending our time, so here are some of the pieces in our first quarter roadmap.

Background
The new issue queue workflow has been in place for over a month. It has prompted a lot more feedback from the community than during the Q/A period back in May. This feedback has been grouped together using the tag “D.o UX”, and it is clear that there has been a significant disruption to the contributor workflow.

Drupal.org development process 2.0
Back in summer the Drupal.org Software Working Group formulated a number of priorities for us for this year. One of them was - improving development process on Drupal.org. As everyone would probably agree, the current process is inefficient. It is hard to know what is the best place to suggest an idea. It’s not clear who can decide if an idea is good and should indeed be implemented. The process of getting your change deployed on production is not clear.

Recently, I was asked to pull together some metrics which would help illustrate the current health of the automated testing infrastructure, and provide a baseline by which we could monitor it over time ... and I thought I'd share some of those findings here.
The first graph shows how testbot utilization has grown over time, from a steady-state count of around 1000 tests per month in the first half of 2011, doubling to 2000 tests per month in January 2012, and reaching a peak of over 6400 requests in June of 2013.

What's your idea?
Changing the Tab names or Moving the sign up button on Top?
What are the benefits?
At first glance if i want to sign up i click the TAB believing it to be a link to sign up.
And seeing there's no sign up button in the "Sign Ups" Tab i figured it's a closed event and move on.
What are the risks?
NONE clearer understanding on how the tab works.
How can we measure the impact of this idea? (metrics)
Non-Drupal users ease of sign up and want to skip reading the details.
