User Research at DC London

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

DrupalCon is approaching! Excited?

I am thinking of leveraging this opportunity and get some data. We could of course do usability testing! But instead I think, I would be better to do user research because:
- Usability Testing can be done remotely
- We are getting usability testing data (slowly but, yes!)
- We don't have any user research data
- User research data will greatly help the design process + plus many other obvious advantages

RESEARCH AT DCL:
What I plan to do research on?
Orientation! Orientation! What is that people would like to see? What does orientation mean to them? Do they think it will be helpful? What are the most important things they want to get from orientation (and other such questions) I will create a guide and share!
All this information will be extremely helpful - isn't it?

WHY THIS AT DCL:
There will be new and advanced users. A great place to talk, converse and discuss. Get their feedback. It is a simple interview. It does not require a laptop... just thoughts!

I would love to get your thoughts! More coming soon...

P.S.: Sorry for the hasty post!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend DCL. If someone wants to move ahead with this, it would be AWESOME!
I would be willing to help in all my might.
