Davis Media Access Workflow
Hi Folks
This is quick brain dump of our operations and how we'd like to move more of our functionality into Drupal. Currently we rely heavily on Egroupware (http://www.egroupware.org) and phpScheduleIt (http://phpscheduleit.sourceforge.net/). Comments appreciated.
Tasks to migrate to CiviCRM
Contacts - Currently in Egroupware. (LDAP sync is important for syncing with thunderbird mail client.)
Tasks/Todos - Currently in Egroupware would like to migrate to Drupal put don't know the path. Would like it to integrate with thunderbird lightning extension (egroupware currently does this with both calendars and todos.)
Pledging - currently handled by egroupware. Will migrate to civiCrm.
DOM
Equipment Reservations - Currently using phpScheduleIt.
Media Ingest - We have Tightrope Cablecast for Video and Rivendell for Audio. My current plan is to continue using those programs for write but develop a drupal module to sync data in Drupal for read.
Other
These are tasks/functionality we'd like to have but aren't sure of how to solve/implement in drupal.
Underwriting/sponsorship tracking - not implemented. Need to track billing/payments, contact info, ad-copy (video, audio, text or cbb slide) should integrate with the auto-scheduler (i.e. sponsor spot runs every day at 5pm.) Reporting of playback logs to show their spot aired.
Trouble Tickets - Currently in Egroupware. The Drupal project manager doesn't work for Drupal6. Not sure what the best tracker for drupal is. Could be overkill as maybe an activity/catagory in CiviCRM will work.
Project Management/Tracking - Status, Members, Resources. Currently using Egroupware. Open Groups?
Premium tracking during fund drives. i.e. pledge $40 and receive this fancy CD. People should be able to go to the website, select premiums and donate. Basically an ecommerce thing which requires premiums only available at certain times.
Managing ACL/quotas for NAS (LDAP Accounts.) Currently using egroupware.
Internal file management/version control. WEBDAV? I don't like the idea of putting these documents on a web server (i.e employee evaluations, etc.)
eGroupWare
Hi
I stumbled onto this page while looking for posts involving eGroupWare. I am looking into the software and so far it looks pretty good but I haven't found much feed back on it. Do you like it? Why are/did you migrating to CiviCrm?
Any input would be much appreciated.
