DimDim ChipIn

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

We're trying to raise $495 so we can get a DimDim pro account whichwill support 100 simultaneous users in a single room. Click here to ChipIn.

The $99 version lets you have 100 total users, but only 20 to any given room. Click "details" on the DimDim product page next to "Annual Price" to see what we're talking about.

This account will be good for 1 year and open to all users of the Drupal Dojo. Please contribute if you can. I'd love to be able to make the buy before this Sunday's lesson!

Wow! Half way there...

The chipin widget isn't totally up to date, but we're currently more than 50% of the way there with 7 generous contributions. Thanks everyone for supporting. Maybe we'll have this thing bought by Sunday!

Just $50 more!

We're very close to having a slick new solution for lessons, impromptu workshops, and virtual sprints. Looks like there's already a way to integrate Dimdim into a widget that we could put on dojo.com, the dojo group, and other relevant places. Nice!

Save your money

Acquia is about to release a statement that will probably change your need for a DimDim licencse.

Timeframe?

Now you can't just go laying something like that out there without a timeframe :)

When you say "about" do you mean this week? This month?

Cheers,

Bill

Well

For better or for worse we've already raised the cashola. If Acquia has a different solution, we can always try that out as well.

I dont hold the key, but I heard the keyholder say...

"Let's roll this puppy out" over the weekend. If you can wait, I would. Save the cash you raised for something else, or at least wait to see if you still think you need DimDim after the drop.

Done deal?

I think we've already purchased a pro version of Dimdim (right Josh)? It would be nice to know more about what Acquia is offering and also if there will be something that we could integrate into Drupal.
