I have a newspaper web site I have created and am expanding in Drupal. I wish to have a second "front" page of the site - a Sports page, which will look like the front page and have more spots for advertising, etc. Users will be able to select Sports via navigation and be directed to this page.
When I create a page in Drupal it shows the title of the page on the upper left of the page, but on the main page of the site, there is no title. I want a page like the main (front) page w/o the title so that I can display a "SPORTS" banner on the top.
I am using Drupal 6.8 with Views (not Panels), theme is Newswire.
Any ideas appreciated.

Ended up creating a Page
Ended up creating a Page View that is almost the way I want it, which I did not really know how to do before. Only thing I would like is for it to have the "add new comment" and "read more" fields displayed and the text bigger for the titles of the stories, but I guess those are problems for another day.
Have you resolved your

Try Content template module
Create a fresh content type for that page and use the content template module to design the layout for that particular content type and you will end up with a lot of options. Try it out.

I have a working page now. . .
Using the Page View I created, I do have a working page now - so I guess that means I resolved the problem - although the display is not all that I would like - comments links missing and story title texts not in big/bold/header format as on page one.
The Content Template looks to be an option and I will play with that a bit today to see if I can get it to work, although I am not sure if it is exactly going to mesh with what I have already done since I have created the Page View and that is of type "node" which is pointing (path) to a node/999 page. Nowhere did I specify what content type it was, so creating a new content type will not help me I do not think so long as I use a created Page View?
I would assume I can create a Block View and place it into the new content type and build the page from there, but if I have to create a page based on the content type, I will get the title in the upper left I do not want.
Of course there is the real chance I just need to learn more since I have only been doing this for a few months now. . .
