OSCMS VNC

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.
You are viewing a wiki page. You are welcome to join the group and then edit it. Be bold!

I've added some instructions here (http://groups.drupal.org/node/3097) and two additional dojo rooms for presenting live from the conference. I'll be there at the conference to assist.

Disclaimer: I'm not totally confident in my poor little dedicated server's capability to handle the traffic... so far it has done fine with about 50 connections. </rant>

P.S. I meant for this post to be a comment to an existing thread by Robert Douglass... not as a wiki. Feel free to delete. Should I post some ascii art while I'm at it?

It was pretty easy to set up. Especially on a windows server since a build is provided for download. The doc is here: http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=7439&group_id=38605. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally happy to donate the bandwidth, and my dedicated server is consistently under 10% load.

But we should be thinking about the time when we're trying to broadcast to 1,000+

See you in Sunnyvale!

We could preconfigure an

We could preconfigure an Amazon EC2 image with all that's necessary to act as a reflector/repeater. After that, it's a matter of 5 minutes to launch the image, $0.10/hour for as long as we need it, then shut it down at the end of the day. $10 buys 10 servers for 10 hours. Not a bad deal...
