Drupal England & Wales
Hello!
I just thought I'd let you know that over the waters in England & Wales we're finally looking like we have a serious proposal for getting our organisational act together and are on the cusp of setting up a body to help grow the Drupal community in England & Wales.
We're not trying to take over from what any existing bodies are doing, and not trying to insert ourselves into places we don't belong either.

Looking for advice on possible modules or ways to accomplish an extendable profile with security at user and admin level for editing & displaying what is publicly displayed, restricted to specific roles / groups to view or which is user-only but which each person can refer to their own profile for relevant values they need from time to time. As time progresses more sections gets added to hold more data values, I envisage data would mainly consist of numbers or short strings of text not paragraphs of text but may be populated from drupal data like og groups

Sorry I missed Westport, was just too jet-lagged after coming back from USA.
Anyway, getting back into January's workload, I'd want to learn how to automatically post onto social media whenever new content is created on a D7 site. So, for example, a new Blog entry is created on the Drupal site, then a teaser for that entry would be posted on the appropraite Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.

As you may have seen at http://groups.drupal.org/node/271553 or on Twitter, Dublin is playing host to Drupal Dev Days in 2013 (28th-30th June). This is one of the large annual European camps. The last one, held earlier this year, was in Barcelona (http://barcelona2012.drupaldays.org/) and was a really successful event, with over 300 people attending.
However, running one of these camps doesn't happen by magic. We need volunteers and sponsors!!
