Drupal Camps
Hi All
I was hoping someone could provide me with some information when you have a chance.
I would like to learn a bit more about Drupal & I have hear that Drupal Camps are possible the best places to go to get a broad over view of what Drupal is all about.
I noticed that there is a camp on in Westport in January 2013

Dublin Monthly Drupal Meetup - November
The next Dublin Meetup is on Wednesday the 28th of November at the Birbl office on 129 Baggot Street Lower at 7pm. We're back to the usual format of presentations and demos.
If anyone has any suggestions for topics they'd like to present on, sites or modules they'd like to demo or even just things they'd like to discuss or ask questions on, then add them here!

Cork Monthly Drupal Meetup
The next Cork Meetup is Wednesday the 28th of November in the Western Gateway building in UCC from 7pm to 9pm. We're back to the usual format, last Wednesday of the month! We're in room WGB_G16 on the ground floor.
Last month's meetup was a great night & we had a number of new faces a lot of new ideas. We saw interesting aspects of facebook connect & differnt strategies for improving performance though caching!

It's been a while since the outstanding Drupalcamp Dublin 2012, so it's time for another Drupalcamp.
So we're going to have a mini-Drupalcamp in Westport, Co. Mayo, January 18th & 19th 2013.
The venue is Hotel Westport.
Accommodation on Friday at €39.00 Per Person Sharing and Saturday at €45.00 Per Person Sharing.
Single Room at €59.00 for Friday Night and E65.00 for Saturday Night.

Because of Hallowe'en and other issues, we have to move the October Galway Drupal Meet Up from Wednesday Oct. 31st to Thursday Nov. 1st.

Cork Monthly Drupal Meetup - one off change of day due to Halloween!!!
The next Cork Meetup is Tuesday the 30th of October in the Western Gateway building in UCC from 7pm to 9pm. A change from the usual last Wednesday of the month as it clashes with Halloween! We're in room WGB_G14 on the ground floor.
Last month's meetup was a great night & I walked away knowing an awful lot more about how & where to use field collections, organic groups & caching!

D7.15 advice Context,Views, Custom Content Types, Paths
I am hoping the Irish drupal community might be able to point me down the right track before I wander too far down the wrong way of doing things.
I've created a large (many fields) content type and used view's page display to create custom pages to show select fields on separate pages.
I'm also using context to configure what blocks and in which location they should be displayed when those view pages are requested because the theme I'm using currently works that way.

Learn Drupal on Global Drupal Training Day!
Drupal Global Training Days is an initiative by the Global Drupal Association to introduce new and beginning users to Drupal. Similar Training events will take place around the world.

Geocoding Ireland Address
Hi
Apologies for posting this here but I reckoned it was the most relevant place to post my question - given it's related to Irish addresses. I built a website for a client using Drupal 6 which is up and running. They now need to be able to add several Google maps showing their various locations. They also need to be able to update the maps themselves on a regular basis. I've installed GMap and Locations modules and got an API key and set it all up. I've turned on Ireland and UK in the Geocoding Options in the Location configuration.

The next Cork Meetup is in the Western Gateway building in UCC from 7pm to 9pm on Wednesday, August 1st. Room WGB_G16 on the ground floor. ( We had to push it back a week later than usual)

One I agreed to last month is the Storage API - a low-level framework for managed file storage and serving which is pretty class.
