What training are you interested in for the 1 day before Drupal Camp Ireland?
Amendments to Irish Copyright Law
I don't know what the community's stance is on politics and I know this is forum mainly reserved for Drupal specific matters, but this issue is central to your human rights... and could be read as yet another step to closing down open source communities. I encourage you to read on and take action... and distribute as widely as possible.
In response to the announcement of statutory amendments to Irish
Copyright law that threaten Irish peoples privacy online we have
penned this letter which we encourage you to share, copy, sign and
send to your TD and electoral Candidates.
Custom form displayed on each instance of node per content-type
I'm looking for a neat solution to this problem.
I have created a content type, and I would like to display a simple form with each instance of a node of that content type.
I would like to pass variables from the node into hidden fields in the form (eg node id or node title). And then a few text fields for user input. The submission would then need to be emailed to the site admin, or nominated email address.
The idea is to allow users book the particular resources by sending their contact details to us, linked to the resource they are interested in:

Drupal HTML5 Codesprint in Galway
Just though I'd mention this in the Ireland group.
There's a physical codesprint in New York on Saturday.
http://groups.drupal.org/node/118164
Myself and Lin are meeting up to work on it from here.

So if anybody is around Galway on Saturday, and fancies helping out...
We might even have some food...
Tá Seacht ag teacht!
Drupal 7 is coming, and the Drupal community worldwide is celebrating.
While Galway Drupal may not be the largest group in the world, we have the most appropriately named venue at our disposal.
We'll be toasting the release of Drupal 7 with a drink at the Dew Drop Inn .
It will be a relatively simple affair - no need for fancy dress or RSVPs or the like.
See you all there! Sign up at

Read moreDrupal 7?
hi, i'm trying to build a new site after attending and being impressed by drupalcamp in trinity last month. I spent last few weeks starting in drupal 6 but just took a look at few tutorials in drupal7 and it looks a much easier starting point for a beginner. I don't intend to have my site 'live' for at least a month or 2. Do you think it's wise to progress now in 7 or stick with 6. Is one getting a headstart or if you learn 6, then you won't have much 'relearning' to do in 7?
some light relief..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBGKdnUj4Yw

Read moreViews question
I've got a quick question about views. I was trying to create a completely custom rendering of one of my views and found that you can use the following handler function to render an individual field (in this case an ImageField):
<?php
print $view->field['field_image_fid']->render($row);
?>The problem is that I tried to get it to work with the node title using:
<?php
print $view->field['title']->render($row);
?>Drupal Dublin Meetup - December
Since next month's meetup falls between Christmas and the New Year, 29th Dec to be precise and people may be away over the Christmas period, we're trying to decide if the meetup should go ahead as normal or if we should bring it forward to the 15th December or just not have one in December at all.
Thoughts?

Lost scarf
A scarf was left behind at the Drupal Camp at the weekend. I'll be bringing it with me to the Dublin meetup in the Longstone tonight if anyone wants to claim it.
Cheers,
Stella
