I found and loved admin menu module during Drupal 6 ages.
This module became so popular and I was sure that it will be included in Drupal 7 core.

The main strong point of admin menu that we can open any level of Drupal admin in one click.

But now I can see that admin menu is not even in Drupal 8 core.

Why?

I'm sure that it is sufficient reason to include it in Drupal core.

I think you'll find that the new toolbar, especially when used in vertical orientation, is a pretty good if not even better replacement for Admin Menu. I am finding it a better version of the Admin Module, which was often used as an alternative for Admin Menu in D7.

For "Newbies" I do not find it as useful.

I'm not sure if my installation of the admin toolbar was corrupted or something, but in my local installation, the admin toolbar is plonked right on top of the menu that comes with D7 core.

Additionally, in some cases, it seems to occlude some of the tabs in the configuration menus displayed in lightboxes
