Hello All,
Yet another topic of interest to me is content management, especially the management of e-papers and podcasts, both features that my site provides, and quite a few newspapers provide.
My site will feature a weekly/bi-weekly "e-paper" in PDF form, which I would enjoy delivering via email, as well as a podcast that is 15-30 minutes long, and is published daily. The biggest thing on my mind is, how do I deliver this content to subscribers in a fashion that is 1.easy for them, and 2.visually appealing. What modules and techniques can we take advantage of to deliver our content?
Would I do a "carousel" view, with the e-paper covers inside of it, allowing users to roll over and click which one they want? Will it simply be a page with a graphic and a logo, with a simple download link?
What about Podcasts? I need to showcase those in a really cool way as well! Will there be streaming as well as download capabilities? What modules would be used to stream and manage the downloads?
Content presentation is a very large chunk of what readers will be critiquing (imo), why would you want to download and read something that isn't well organized, and easy to access?
So, I ask you all, how do you present your content? What methods do you use, what modules? Perhaps some of you have some suggestions for me based on what I wrote above.
Interesting topic, no?
