Hi all!!

Let's continue learning some good stuff about coding, web development, Drupal and other geek topics. You already know that we are looking for more speakers and places to host this meetups. If your company has an office and you want people to know the amazing work you do, or maybe you are looking for talented people, it's a good chance to host a Drupal meetup. You can also collaborate sponsoring with food and drinks to feed the geeks and avoid they eat each others. Contact Ruben Teijeiro if you want more talks and code sprints to happen.

This week we have two interesting Front-end and DevOps sessions about Twig extensions and Vagrant. You should not miss them!! This is the program for the evening:

17:30 - Doors open

18:00 - Presentation (Don't be late!)

18:15 - Sufficiently advanced magic: Creating your own Twig extensions (Magnus Nordlander)

One of the major new features in Drupal 8 is the new template engine, Twig. In this talk, Magnus will talk about the different ways in which you can customize Twig for your project. He'll begin by talking about Twig macros, and then continue giving an introduction to Twig extensions, and showing how you can use these techniques to create your own domain specific functionality within Twig.

19:00 - Mingle

19:30 - Drupal Development with Vagrant (Filip Joelsson)

Filip will give a presentation on how to use Vagrant with a provisioner to quickly build sandbox instances for Drupal development. The presentation will focus on D8, but lessons learned should be applicable on D7 as well as general web development. The takeaway from the presentation is a setup where every aspect of your Drupal sandbox is governed by a single settings file.

20:15 - More mingle

21:00 - End (Probably we will continue discussions in a nearby bar :P)

Cybercom will provide food and drinks as usual so let's thank them for being so nice. You can do it personally or in your favourite social network ;)
