At the January Meetup, we discussed what everyone would like to learn this year, and planned out who would be able to teach the group about each of these topics. Each month will have 2 presentations, and we will also have other discussions and support sessions for people. We will also introduce a new segment where people who have attempted methods discussed in the previous month's presentations should report back to the group on their results and also ask further questions.

Hi cityreader.
Drupal is a community of volunteers. If you want more Drupal activities in Melbourne, feel free to start organising them! :) sime has pretty much been the only guy organising stuff so far.

Thanks:=)

i'm also pretty inspired with what they're doing up there! I'm just taking a break for a couple of months while I sort out some business stuff. Then we'll see what happens.
I have noticed that we don't seem to have a high turnover of people. They have a gander and then I don't see them again. Does this happen in Sydney?

There is a growing base of regulars who attend most meetings. When we moved to the ABC the room held about 20-30 people and the group seemed to grow to fit it. Before this we were meeting up in a small crowded office and it seemed to limit numbers a little.
And Ryan's involvement has been critical in keeping it organised.
OK, So will we have a Feb meetup in Melbourne?
I'm keen to keep things going (there is just so much to talk about).
Maybe mid Feb at Em Space office as per usual.
I found the the last session was great for me with Gordon's talk about Openlayers.
Maybe a few people could do 10 minute presentations of their recent projects? This could provide good starter for more specific discussions ...
