I'm not sure where to start this discussion here, or on the CASAA's module page.
My problem is, that I can't seem to find a way to have different ad sizes on different pages with the CASAA using apt_plugin. I hope there are some members of the Yahoo!'s Newspaper Consortium here.
Let say we have a following setup:
Homepage - 2 leaderboards, 2 boxads
The rest - 2 leaderboards, 2 skyscrapers
If I define all 6 ads in the Global settings of the plugin, I can see all the ads/blocks being available, but the yld_mgr init code in the
header is wrong, since it initializes all 6 slots, and not just 4 being used on the page.

I definitely want to follow this discussion; we're about to add Yahoo APT to the website I've been working on for the last several weeks. If there are any issues I can learn about ahead of time, that would be great.

Not sure this is a problem, because AFAIK, Yahoo only counts what's delivered. We have many cases in which the existence of a particular position is conditional.

There is an open ticket in our internal tracking system, which says:
The APT plug-in currently puts in the config for all possible blocks into the ad call setup. It needs to put in only the config for blocks that are actually used on the page.
For example, if a site defines two 300x250 blocks but only uses (places) one, ads which should show on the page might be assigned to the unused block(s).

Planning to use block_list to override the behavior, or use the 1 call - 1 ad call, where yld_mgr with 1 slot is re-initialized and called on each ad call.

Ok. I have made some changes

I have made some changes to the apt_plugin.module. This adds a list of checkboxes to the "Edit/Add Mapping" tab,
which lets you choose what ads to run on the page.
Patch Available Now
I have an official patch correcting this issue including some of the additions from choloepus.
In addition to the fixes for the ad slot mapping I including a fix addressing that when the addition is added it will turn off all slots by default until the slots are manually turned on. To avoid this, I made the slots all on by default until manually adjusted.
The patch also includes updates to the topic id categories.
