DrupalCamp Austin 2010 registration is OPEN! (November 20-21 at the AT&T Center)
DrupalCamp Austin 2010 will be held November 20-21 at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center. This year, we're expecting 300 attendees, speakers, and top-notch Drupal talent from as far away as Canada and Sweden. We anticipate another sold-out year, so please register soon!

Drupal at yet another AWESOME event.
A few posts before this one [at the time of writing] is a post http://groups.drupal.org/node/71053 for "DrupalCamp Dallas at OpenCamp" which was originally posted by djhahn to the Dallas TX and Drupal Event Organization groups. I have adding the "Marketing of Drupal" group to the post because I would like to start a conversation about how we can effectively take advantage of OpenCamp as there will be a LOT of non Drupal attendees at the gig. Yes, some of them will be steeped into their other preferred CMS, but many will be there fishing for solutions to their web content issues.

DrupalCamp Dallas 2010 : Two Days and Two Nights of Drupal Learning, Teaching and Networking

You may have heard rumors, but it’s now official- we will be hosting DrupalCamp Dallas 2010 at OpenCamp! That’s right- a full DrupalCamp with two simultaneous Drupal tracks running all day in their own rooms, as well as Birds of Feather sessions and all the usual greatness of DrupalCamp, but with the added benefit of everything OpenCamp has to offer.

Tom will discuss installing Drupal from a distribution profile, using the Level10 iSite Essentials as an example. A Drupal distribution profile is a packaged version of Drupal including Drupal core, contrib modules, and usually a theme, intended to make installing and setting up Drupal for your application easier. There are profiles for newspaper publishing, social networks, high-performance websites, and more.
