Event: http://mongodbday.eventbrite.com/
This event will be of interest to those of you looking to move beyond MySQL/PostgreSQL as the sole data store for your Drupal sites.
MongoDB (wikipedia) is an open source, high performance, schema free, scalable, document-oriented database sponsored by 10gen. MongoDB offers speed, scale and simplicity.
In Drupal 7, you will be able to store cache items, sessions, and even fields in MongoDB.
In addition to the other featured speakers, on hand will be Four Kitchens' David Strauss and Examiner.com's Károly Négyesi (chx). Károly will be talking specifically about implementing MongoDB with Drupal.
There will also be sessions on MapReduce, sharding, and other topics to help you get more comfortable with the NoSQL space.
In addition to presentations and BOF sessions, we are working to provide VM images so that you can begin hacking on MongoDB while you are still at the event.

Hope you can make it!
