Data entry/Training for/at Street Roots on rosecityresource.org
The community project we've been working on since December, rosecityresource.org (http://groups.drupal.org/node/17216) is just about done! It's currently at Metal Toad Media, who is theming the site. That part will be done on March 20th.
On March 21st, we're planning to have a work day at Street Roots where we show them how to use the site, do data clean-up, and get the Spanish data in (we were able to import the English data, but will need to go to each record and click "translate" to copy and paste the Spanish content to the site- the Spanish was a bit too messy to import).

Hey there.
I'm working on building a drupal six uber-cart store. It's been a fun adventure thus far.
Anyways, I'm working on building a basic store "foundation" that I can sort of use to build into any other store. I'm setting up some views blocks which display all the brands the store carries (a view), the latest products to add to the store, and the most popular items (based on views). That's all easy and works fine.
I'm having a bit more of an issue working on creating a view that displays the "product" vocabulary like this:

Automated CVS checkouts of Drupal Core + Contributed Modules
Hi everyone,
We just created a little PHP script to automate CVS checkouts of the latest stable releases of Drupal 6 core and contributed modules:

Does anybody know of another script that does this?
Read moreDrupalCon presentations
Whether you couldn't get away to DC, or maybe you were there but couldn't manage to see every presentation, they are all going online as videos at http://drupal.org/node/385952.
The information overload continues . . .
Read moreDrupalCampPDX Dates
We've picked some tentative dates for the next Portland DrupalCamp: August 22-23, 2009.
So scour your calendars and make sure there aren't any other big tech events that weekend. Obviously any date is going to cause problems for some subset of people but we want to make sure we're not up against another regional DrupalCamp. It'll be close to DrupalCon Paris but hopefully we'll still be able to draw in some other people on the West Coast.
Read moreDeveloping sites, and storing login credentials
Hi all,
I have a general question, as I set out to develop a few Drupal sites... (not totally Drupal related... but then again, maybe it could be?)
When developing multiple sites at once, I am running into an issue with two basic things:
- Generating unique user names and passwords for each site for various items such as root user, domain name registration account, etc... and
- a convenient and secure place to store this sensitive information, other than a hand written note :)
SOAP implementation
I am hoping that some one here can help...
I need to implement a SOAP service and i cant seem to find any "how to". i see that there is a services module, and a soap server, and i understand the "normal" application of the simple object access protocol via php, java etc (building a custom site, no problems )... but how to go about implementing it in drupal 6 ?
please, please i need a hand, as there is NO documentation on this subject.
cheers,

Obfuscating E-mail Addresses
I'm looking into various techniques for obfuscating CCK e-mail addresses and addresses in text areas with modules like SpamSpan, theme snippets etc. and would really appreciate hearing what preferences and advice people have on the subject.
Read morecontact form not sending email... did I miss something?
I have been tweaking, and testing and re-testing my site contact form for a few days now, and for some reason, no mail is being sent, I have done a lot of searching for an answer to why, but cannot find anything... Do I need to change some settings on my server to make that work? or should it just work "out of the box"? Any thoughts on what I am missing?
thanks,
Andy
Updating contributed modules
I needed to update a few modules (date, calendar, and views) from rc or dev versions to stable release. So all were minor upgrades within the same family of versions. I found very little documentation about this, and update.php said it was for Drupal upgrades. So after backing up my database, I simply replaced the code in sites/all/modules and then did an uninstall/install with devel.
Was this the right procedure?
